Tackle for Loss is a 2D top-down action game that puts you in the shoes of a former American football pro. Utilizing his unique set of football skills, you'll navigate a gritty underworld, battling enemies on a desperate mission to save a loved one. Violent combat, a gripping narrative, and dark pixel art combine to create a high-impact experience inspired by the likes of Hotline Miami.Combat is built around a brutal twist on American football’s four-down rule: you get four tackles - total - to clear each level. No button mashing. Just four perfectly placed tackles between you and the end zone. Sounds impossible? It kind of is.

Do you like Hotline Miami? Do you also like the National Football League aka American Football? Do you also like the thought of playing as a man going through CTE issues? Well this is the game for you. Like the vibe of this game and I do love how they took that Hotline Miami like formula but incorporated NFL rules in there to make you strategize your way through the levels with the 4 Downs. It's a fun time and I think the storyline with it is cool too because you're playing as someone going thru the mental anguish of having taking too many hits to the head and now he's wanting to get his daughter back. But for the price, you can't miss with this here. It controls well and you can finish it pretty fast too. Well worth it in my eyes.1 found this helpful
Tackle for Loss is a hardcore 2D top-down action game in the style of Hotline Miami. You play as a former American football pro who suffers from memory loss but knows he must save his daughter. The main feature of the game is tackles, which make the gameplay more challenging because their number is limited, so you can’t just rush forward and must plan every move. I like the idea and the dark story behind the main hero. The game can be quite challenging and bizarre at times :D
Great game with a captivating story. Challenging but not unfair and absolutely worth the dollar amount to pick it up!
