Reborn and deeper than ever, the game enables players to immerse themselves in the world and intrigue of Tactics Ogre like never before.
The Valerian Isles, jewels of the Obero Sea. Long a center of naval commerce, the people of the isles struggled throughout history for dominion over her shores.Finally there rose a man to put an end to this conflict: Dorgalua Oberyth. But history would know him as the "Dynast-King." King Dorgalua strove to stamp out the hatred among the people of the isles, and for fully half a century, Valeria knew prosperity.
Yet upon the king's death, civil war erupted anew as three factions vied for control: the Bakram, who comprised much of Valeria's nobility; the Galgastani, whose people made up the majority of the isles' population; and the Walister, who numbered but few.
The isles were soon divided between the Bakram and Galgastani, and an uneasy peace settled across the land. Yet none believed the calm would last...

The story takes place through the eyes of a young man named Denam. The decisions he makes will alter the fate of those around him, and shift the course of Valeria's history.

No. It`s not the same as Final Fantasy Tactics. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OP Enemies. They have heal 3 while you have heal 2 or they have better weapons. The most op ♥♥♥♥ is that they can have more people then you. like 1-3 more. I`m 71 hours in I still don`t know why this is unnecessary hard. Like fking balance this ♥♥♥♥. How hard can that be if you put 1 more enemy in let them have the same bad spells, if not don`t more npc`s in the match wtf?2 found this helpful

its not the same as the SNES and that's okay. there's more content, more dialogue, more characters. I was put off for years because of the spawning temporary buff cards and the level cap, but they're actually rather tolerable. its not like the AI guns for them or uses them terribly intelligently. reducing the number of classes (cleric/exorcist are now one class, for example) is actually a huge relief, and allowed for them to add more and new classes that are way more interesting. overall a fantastic game.
Wow what a garbage game, not interesting at all. I havent been this frustrated about a game until this one.
One of the GOATs in the strategy RPG space for a reason. The story is an all timer. The gameplay shows *some* age but that makes sense considering when the original version came out. This is still worth checking out now. Tactical gameplay has certainly iterated past this game, but I can't think of any games in this space that have come near the world and story.
