Ok, i bought this game on release and played plenty so i can give a review, i actually held on for a time, because i thought the devs would at least fix some of my worries, but enough time has passed and they never fixed anything so here it goes: the game itself its not bad at all, you quickly understand what its trying to do and how it plays, you suddenly become good enough to exploit the strenght of the characters and up the difficulty. but all of this is ruined by one thing, BUGS, there have been so many runs that ended in a soft-lock because the programmers didnt do their work correctly, a bad turn, a bad re-start, or just the use of some skills in certain ways can make the game soft-locked and you cant continue because either the enemies get stuck, or your characters get stuck, or the menus get stuck, or the maps simply wont continue the next turn, and its such a waste of time because each run is like 1 hour, this has even happened to me on the final boss fight, so imagine that, surviving 3 boss fights and end up getting soft-locked during the final of the final. if it wasnt for this, i would recommend it, but as it is, and knowing that the devs seemingly abandoned it, t…3 found this helpful
The game its good for the price you paid if you get in special discount, the support for controller its not very well and have some bugs there the developer never fix and I think they will never will fix. but the bug is not critical.
The visuals are what got me hooked at first, but the gameplay is really addictive as well. Overall a very fun game.
some units are worthless, enemies have X hp, some skill does 1/2 of the damage vs other insta kill them, both uses resources and activation, so badly balanced (there are quite a few straight bad skills) tried winning with sub optimal caracters, either died trying to chase drops or died to delayed progression by not.... chassing all the drops. limited game (at easy its 4 zones per zones, play 2 to 4 zones) didnt bother harder once unlocked.
For a "roguelike" wannabe, it takes way too long to finish a single run. I needed around 3 hours to do a single run from start to finish, which is too long for a single try, and to just upgrade a few miniscule things (felt like less than 5% of the shop). Combat it alright, but some maps have too many enemies for its own good, especially in the "protect Rumi" type of missions, that can end in a single turn if the RNG is not on your side. Overall, a very subpar turn-based roguelike compared to what else is on the market. 5/10
