Tailbreak

Note: I have been playing the Xbox Play Anywhere PC version before the Steam version so I have much more time on that version of the game. I will continue to update this review as time goes on. Pros: Better graphical and technical Presentation Amazing Soundtrack Much Better Level Pacing that Railbreak More strategy required over the previous Railbreak which gives the game more depth. Loved having dinos and zombies combined with Railbreak bosses in bonus modes Lots of meta jokes concerning DDS other games Tons of replayability and modes Cons: Wish there were even more dinosaurs like a T-rex that you can kill Not able to select individual levels so far. You need to beat it in one shot. Audio Mixing for voices is off Needs Gamma Brightness Setting Enemy highlighting can cause issues when the enemy closer to the screen might not be the one that attacks first

It's fun! I look forward to playing more, but my initial impression is that this is a nice refinement of the formula from another title of theirs, Railbreak. The dinos have a lot more clear telegraphing of when they're hitting you which was my biggest frustration with the last one, and moving item spawns into boxes so that you're constantly shooting stuff in the environment hoping for drops is a nice extra element giving you more reasons to shoot stuff up. If you enjoy old school rail shooters, give this one a go for sure, especially if you have a sinden.

Don't let system requirements scare you. For VRAM usage, GTX 1060 6GB looks to be the absolute minimum. I have GTX 1070, and just like [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/2587170/Railbreak/]Railbreak[/url], after dialing down a few settings this runs just fine. Medium shadow quality or below makes scenery pretty dark though and hard to see where to shoot at, as it turns off some background lights.
