Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
I was going to do a full video review on this game, but I don't like doing videos on bad / mediocre games. It starts off pretty nice. There's a good psychological element at the start. The atmosphere and pacing are good at the start. The way this game starts out had me thinking it wasn't just another zombie shooter. However, I ran into some bugs about half-way through. Mainly though, some doors that lock you out and stop you from being able to progress (I wasted an hour on this looking for a key when it turned out to just be a bug). The good news is that if you know about this, you can just restart and when you come back you should be able to open the door and proceed. The problem is when you don't know about it and waste time looking for a key to open said door only to find out there is no key, the door is just bugged. It also seems that the developer ran out of time or money about half-way through. It becomes what I was afraid it would be, a very forgettable zombie shooter / melee game. The combat is very bad. You can just whack the zombies with a crowbar until they stay down. Whack, whack away until it's over. This is compounded by the…

Recently got to this game and it's very solid all around. The gunplay is good, the melee combat solid. Gameplay is enjoyable and surprisingly polished, to the point that it could compete with some bigger titles. Balancing is pretty good as well and you need to conserve ammo. To the actual horror aspects: it has some spooky moments that make you jump and panic, but most of it's strength is in the atmosphere, which can be quite tense and heartpounding at times. Lighting is just dark enough to induce uncertainty and the sound design makes you look over your shoulder ;)

A short experience. A bit janky, but worth the price. The good: -Combat is actually pretty good. Zombies have active ragdolls. Gunplay is simple, but effective. Inventory and items are user friendly. -Most of the environments are fairly effective. Darkness is used well. -For a 5 dollar game, it's pretty polished. I encountered a couple of frustrating bugs, but meh. -Performant. No jitteriness. -Kind of scary. I'm a VR and horror veteran, but there were a couple of times I was caught by surprise, and the overall ambience and sound design set an eerie tone. -Puzzles are simple, but they're decent. The garden level was my favorite. The bad: -The game is very short. Only about an hour. -The story is a little disjointed, and only really hinted at. It's a bit abstract and leaves it open to interpretation. I wasn't very immersed. I felt very much like I was playing a game. -Although combat is decent, you can beat the whole game by just avoiding combat altogether. -The hospital basement level makes no sense, and the platforms are annoyingly slow. -Of all the drawers and lockers I opened, only one or two of them had anything in it. -Doors can glitch shut. A game breaking bug th…
