Z-Rush Survival

Over my years of doing these reviews I have played some pretty terrible games, but 'Z-Rush Survival' might well be one of the worst. It's a zombie shooter in which you get a handgun and have to kill as many as you can. You can't move about, no matter what I tried I couldn't work out how to reload the gun without mashing the buttons and there is only one area, one kind of zombie and a high score! The post-apocalyptic landscape looks OK I suppose (in a PS1 kind of way) but there is NOTHING here to justify the £7.19 asking price. It's not often I ask for a refund, but this game really should have been free because it's pretty much worthless. Z-Rush Survival is a very badly slapped together asset flipped VR exclusive stationary first person wave survival shooter. Which is to say, this is a "game" where you stand still and shoot a gun at asset flipped zombies in one single static asset flipped environment. Worth pointing out the developers didn't credit the actual developers whose assets they took, which might not be against the license terms for those assets, but plagiarism is not ethical. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the mid 2000s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at.
