The premise of Taskmaster VR is simple - complete tasks and impress The Taskmaster. Sound easy? Well, it never, ever is. These tasks are taxing and The Taskmaster is not known for being lenient
Mastering tasks requires skill, patience, precision and grace. And if all that fails, maybe just throwing things around and hoping for the best will work out! Just get it done within the time limit and use the plethora of ordinary and not-so-ordinary items at your disposal - Taskmaster VR features more stuff, gubbins and thingamajigs than you can shake a rubber duck at.There is no single solution to a task, and thinking outside of the box is encouraged - there are many ways to succeed and even more ways to fail. Either way, the outcome is always hilarious. You can use whatever comes to hand to do whatever you want, just don’t blame us if you make a fool of yourself in the process.

Succeed at your tasks and you may conjure up a compliment, fail and you can expect (completely justified) withering scorn.

Almost - but not quite - fun. This game isn't like watching Taskmaster, it's like filming an episode - which very different from each other. If you haven't a friend over to watch you flail around, it's no very fun. If the task is like an escape room, it's pretty good - smash Melons, find keys - that's okay. When the task is more like taskmaster proper, "drive this robot around and cling glasses together" it quickly becomes tedious. Can I go to the kitchen, get a knife and cut the glass from the string, so I don't have to drive through the parkour? Well, I can get a knife, but cutting string/rope isn't programmed in, so no - you can't. You can only be as creative as the developers anticipated. Tasks involving throwing stuff (especially studio tasks) suffer from the zero weight syndrome of VR - Melons and ping pong balls may simulate different weights, but you can't tell. While you aren't disorientingly pushed out of solid objects anymore, I still got stuck on doors, one hand on the wrong side or furniture exploding around me. The scoring can only work by some numerical thresholds, so I'm not surprised Gregs banter is disconnected from reality, but it's also inconsistent, tellin…4 found this helpful

I love the show, so i had to try the game. When it first came out, it wasn't very functional. I finally decided to give it another shot after all the updates, and i love it now. The game is a lot smoother, the hands work better, and the collisions arent as bad. I enjoy playing it A LOT now, and I definitely recommend Taskmasters VR.2 found this helpful
If you're a fan of the show, its worth the small investment. If you're not, you might not get a lot of mileage out of it. I feel like they knew what they had here and priced it accordingly. I wish there was more post launch support but again, its 15 bucks.1 found this helpful
The controls can be finicky, and the creative mode is only local for some reason? All the tasks in this game were original, fun and had me well immersed. If you like the idea of being in the comedians' position in the show, then this game will do you well! Minus the banter.. the automated voicelines aren't the greatest but they give you a decent break between tasks. After completing the game, there isn't really anything to do other than retry previous tasks, do the few post-series minitasks, or make your own tasks using the creative mode (though there's no way to actually make task cards in the mode so, im not sure of it). All in all, a fun play for any taskmaster fans, but not worth FULL price. Maybe just play the board game :P
I first got this game around Christmas time and it was unplayable. So I put it down until today and picked it back up again. The performance has been improved. I worked through the first task and was pleasantly surprised that it was challenging but not impossible. I did find a few things janky. Floor/wall clipping is the biggest thing. Items dropping out of your hand, and at one point a sword got stuck in the floor! Fix the jank, and you might just have a fun little game on your hands. Only true taskmaster aficionados will get (and appreciate) this game.
