TavernHold

TavernHold is a surprisingly fresh twist on tower defense, mixing in tavern management in a way that feels natural. At first, I thought it would be a simple mash-up, but I quickly found myself balancing tavern upgrades, and defense strategies with a "just one more round" obsession. The game has a few rough edges, some interface quirks and minor bugs, but none of them stop the fun, and it’s clear there’s huge potential here. For anyone looking for a creative spin on the genre, it is absolutely worth a try.

Fun tower defence with good mechanics. Managing the tavern is fun but I think the tower defence portion could be cleaned up. I believe the dev team is working on it though! Excited to see what changes are made!

Tavernhold has a lot of potential, So i'll start with the good; 1) the tutorial is good to start with, 2, the game play loop is simple enough to understand, hire workers, assign workers to resource buildings, assign workers to build buildings, manage resources click on customers to serve them build defenses 3) It looks nice here is the bad, 1) game is super short if you succeed one full run is at most 2 hours 2) the tutorial/quest system bugged out and didn't acknowledge completed tasks halfway through the play through 3) the ballista is janky you need to click slightly behind and slightly below your target 4) game difficult spikes hard, by day 15 I had 5 bosses and like 10 mini bosses with either invulnerable or teleportation and I hade something along the line of 8-9 towers, 33 employees, fully upgraded, 25-30 fully upgraded spike traps and walls. and sometimes I simultaneously won and lost 5) the upgrades are super limited the only ballista upgrades are two different arrows that are expensive to craft so you won't really have them until you have upgraded everything else as the money and wood are super necessary for defenses and patrons 6) Mobile game feel - this feels like a …

⭐ 5.5/10 — 👍 Recommended Day/night cycle sim where you run a tavern and defend it from undead waves. Concept works, loop is genuinely fun, and at seven dollars it is hard to complain too much. Where it struggles is balance. The nights escalate faster than your ability to keep up and end game feels out of reach for most players right now. I have not cracked night 8 out of 15, is it just me??? Still worth a shot at the price. Just know what you are getting into. Could be a great game love the concept, however it has a bug when you place/build defenses you get locked into the menu and cant do anything else...it gose away it seems if you wait till the next day but this stops you from doing any building or upgradeing in the tavern its self, I reported this to there discord but it was compleatly silent not even players chatting, after a month I gave up and left I hope this game isnt abandond and it gets fixed cuse it could be alot of fun.
