Templar is okay if you don’t mind that the gameplay is repetitive, it reminds me of playing something like ‘Kung Fu” for the NES, though in this game you will find equipment, and it has better visuals and a little more going on generally. Another game this reminds me of is another raw indie called [b]Jrago[/b], though Templar 2 is more zoomed in and even more combat-centric than that. [h1]Templar is janky in some ways:[/h1] The main menu does a transition before showing you your options to select. If you press a button to speed through that process (like you would in a lot of other games) it instead just selects the top option (continue). Oddly, I’ve played other raw indie games by spanish developers that have this same quirk. It’s one of those games where the up/down on the control stick is far too sensitive. Often my character will duck when I don’t want him to and was just trying to move sideways. I encountered a number of other bugs that caused me to have to reload the game, from being unable to select a level on the map screen, to having equipment from my inventory disappear. The dev was impressively quick to fix a bug that I reported (within an hour or three of me …

Buen juego de acción-plataformero doblado al Español (Castellano) e Inglés (con actores conocidos del sector) y traducido al Francés y Alemán (si no me falla la memoria) Me he encontrado algún bug que al informarlo en el foro de Steam, los desarrolladores han fixeado prácticamente de forma inmediata, cosa que se agradece. Es un juego muy entretenido con progresión basada en objetos y niveles con algún que otro poder y "secretos" escondidos en los distintos niveles. Me lo he pasado bien, en ocasiones se muere más de lo que se desearía pero es cuestión de aprender las mecánicas para poder ir avanzando entre los distintos tipos de enemigos y bosses. En definitiva, es más que jugable. Me lo he pasado en unas horas y no me arrepiento de haberlo jugado.

Incredible game for the indie-project! I had a lot of fun playing both parts of it. The absolute majority of levels have good level design, the demon slaying part is satisfying and addictive, incredible (!) soundtrack, well placed checkpoints, interesting story with majestic comic part and cutscenes, tangible progress and leveling. The only bad parts for me is bugged spider-like black demon enemy (not attacking), no ability to look under by pressing down and the moving platform part at the beginning. Great game! Highly recommend it!

My controller works with other games but not with this one. On top of that, after the initial cutscene I am told to heal, and inside the menu I cannot select the dratted potion! this happened during the DEMO but I never thought this was going to be the case with the finished game... very disappointing and I expect they fix this so I can enjoy the game and change my review!
