Temple of the Green Moon: Prologue

The mechanics are......okay.......and the graphics are decent enough (you'll lose some frames for sure if you have a potato like me), at least from an environmental/scenic perspective (the adversaries are kinda crap tho) but the writing and voice acting are ever so dire, just [b][i]distractingly[/i][/b] bad and god knows you'll have to hear that irritating death wail quite a few times as you try to kill spectres with your flashlight and fail because the game hates you. To put it mildly, it needs more time in the oven, both for the dialogue and to tighten up the "combat" with your flashlight. Not currently recommended, but it does have some potential.

Not sure how much percentage wise but the AI slop smell is strong in certain parts of this. The main character is a coward and a moron who's dumb enough to follow her partner into a death cave and then when the partner goes to get help and is clearly dead she spends the rest of the demo talking ♥♥♥♥ about them (admittedly justified to some extent but come on at least pretend to grieve). Also the partner's name changes from Ivan to Vanya? Great work. Objectively the game does awful feeling things, like making you wait and press prompts at indeterminate timings to turn a wheel consistently instead of just... letting you hold the button down? Imagine climbing a ladder in first person but you have to distinctly press up every rung you climb instead of just holding up or even mashing it to climb, that's what I mean. It's not great. Subjectively the game isn't scary and lacks any atmosphere because the character doesn't shut up and the ghosts are just random dudes in rags with smoke around them you shine a flash light on. There's no lore or reason why any of the things you find are there - meaning it feels thoughtless and random so why would anyone get invested? Oh yeah and file size i…

For a demo, this was very well made. Good scares and atmosphere, I look forward to playing the full version.

Nice graphics, maybe in the future this game will be interesting. But for now, just the cave, old style monsters.
