✦ AI summary

Players praise the solid match engine, smooth UI, extensive customization options, and quality-of-life improvements that make the game engaging and fun to play. Common complaints center on confusing mechanics like morale and form systems, some missing QoL conveniences (like contract renewal workflows), occasional translation issues, and concerns from some players about the $40 price point relative to content depth, though the developers are noted as responsive to feedback.

Overall a fun time! I've played a couple of Tennis managers in the past and this one has some solid QoL improvements and upgrades compared to the last. One of the ones I highlighted in a previous game was being able to click on names in inboxes - that's now in the game so that was great to see. Overall positives: - Match engine is solid, the match feels as smooth as it can - Runs incredibly well - UI is smooth even if a bit tough to learn at first, but once you do it's straight forward and responsive - Lots of customization / options to adjust how you want to play - You can start at any difficulty level you want, make life tough for your academy etc. - It's fun! Challenges that I experienced: - Morale and form are still incredibly confusing and make very little to no sense. Your player can be on a tear for the year then lose on fairly irrelevant game to someone stronger than them and their morale plummets to rock bottom - Form swings way too fast as well and is very difficult to fix through training even though there are specifically heavy form trainings for that purpose. The lack of information on both morale and form makes it impossible to figure out why - The training is cust…

1/10 STARS This is the very first time I've ever purchased "manager game" that was over $20.. and to say the least, for a $40 GAME, this was a DISAPPOINTMENT. ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT BUYING THIS GAME? READ THIS REVIEW!! DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNTIL YOU READ! Let me give you a solid breakdown on why this game has the potential to be great and why the developers tried to just slop a mobile game into a "PC-made" game for damn near quadruple the price ! MyPlayer mode is about as SIMPLE as it gets. Your character customization is BARE minimum. Options are limited to default face models, top/face accessories, and any face/body customization. Don't get me started with the AI photo avatars you get. You don't get any clothes/equipment up until you actually get sponsors. So while you could be making a lot of money from tournaments, your earned income just sits until you can "invest" in the invest option for weekly income and other bonuses. So much for doing anything with your hard earned money watching your character go thru a gruesome 32 round tournament. The training .. yeah. What training? It's basically just a teether-totter training game; on when you should train certain stats to…

Good game, play it every year and it always consumes me for a few days, the language translation is always an issue because the creators are not native English speakers, but once you get over that you can just dive in

The last TM I played was 23, so I can't evaluate this as a yearly update from last version. That being said: this game is a really good sports sim. The 3D match presentation is really high quality, and the tennis action is intense. There are TONS of options for strategy and gameplay, and a really indepth system to setup training programs for your players. Facilities have lots of different upgrades so managing your academy has plenty of meaningful decisions. It's clear this was heavily inspired by FM, but considering how that series has fallen off, TM26 might actually be better than the original at this point. Even if you're not a tennis fan, this sim can suck you in. 5/5 clay courts

So I've been playing Tennis Manager since the first one and this has the potential to be great, unfortunately it's been let down, I will wait until Tennis Manager 27 to see if it improves, the games seems to be getting worse, glitchy and very annoying.

The new UI is great. Several QoL changes have made this game fun and much much better than the mediocre Football Manager 26. But it still lacks some basic features for a sports management game. Like staff contract renewal. I have to click back to the profile and then go back to offer a contract. Vital information about salary and bonuses should be available at a glance. But, recommended without a doubt! The developers are actively listening to the players and respond positively.
