✦ AI summary
Players praise the game's stunning pixel art style, engaging roguelike gameplay similar to Enter the Gungeon, and excellent music and combat mechanics. Common complaints include the inability to disable the pixel perfect filter which makes scenes hard to read, unintuitive UI controls (especially map navigation), and a slow early game pace where enemies require excessive hits to defeat.
i'm the first reviewer buh cool game but ain't crystal moon tho4 found this helpful
writting this at v1.0.8 early access, a big potential, pretty fun, the game that would be the most similar to this game as of now would be enter the gungeon, so if you enjoy this game, you'll be likely to appreciate this game aswell!3 found this helpful
Amazing game for any roguelike lover3 found this helpful
The art is absolutely fantastic - it's worth buying just for the art! Some drawbacks: Pixel Perfect cannot be turned off. The previous game Zui's Witch Academy provided an option to disable Pixel Perfect, but why doesn't this game have it? The already complex game scenes become even harder to distinguish with the pixel filter. User controls are not very intuitive. For example, pressing ESC on the map page doesn't exit the map but opens the menu while the map page is still open, and after using map teleportation you still have to manually close the map, etc. The game pace is too slow. In the first level, each enemy takes over ten hits to kill, boss battles take at least two minutes. The game experience improves slightly after switching weapons, but the game doesn't guarantee players can get new weapons quickly - this might take over ten minutes. Even after getting new weapons, the DPS doesn't change much. Some phenomena that seem like bugs: sometimes unable to use map teleportation, immediately after entering the second level "1-2 complete" appears, then it goes into the boss battle. I'll come back to add more after I finish playing this game.2 found this helpful
