This game is really REALLY addictive. It's a fairly cool old-school score-chaser which gives me some vibes from Robotron, as well as, perhaps a sniff of Centipede.. Although it's played out in 3d, the low-poly graphics, and simple gameplay is very reminiscent of retro arcade games we'd have had on the Atari2600, speccy or C64. The aim of the game is to collect crystals by driving over them. There is a worm chasing you, and it's never too far behind. The game ensures that! If it catches up, it's lights out. Collecting the crystals isn't the main obstacle, though, there are randomly spawning blocks which get in your way. There are power-ups including a drill to smash through blocks without slowing you down, a laser which just obliterates a chunk of blocks in one go, score multipliers, a bomb that temporarily stuns the worm, and a couple of others.. The strategy of the game involves balancing your playtime between collecting crystals and "housekeeping" the level, i.e. clearing away enough blocks that you still have clear runs to get away from the worm. you *can* escape down the sides, but it's perilous, and once the blocks start to get numerous, it's all to …

Terrawurm is an arcade like game where the goal is simple. RUN FROM THE TERRAWURM. It takes place on one square map where the long you live the more increasingly difficult it gets to survive. Rocks, rocks, and more rocks will spawn continuously until the Terrawurm gets you. Luckily you'll be collecting gems along the way to purchase power-ups that you can activate in future runs to help you both survive longer and rack up even more points. It's addicting and you'll end up just wanting to get.. one more run in.. STEAM REVIEW: [Disclaimer: I received Terrawurm for free. This review/preview is for the first 20-40 minutes of the game. This game has good gameplay, but the issue is lack of variety. Cool as a concept, but it's needs more levels and environmental challenges to recommend.

An incredibly addictive arcade game with a fun upgrade system. Certainly worth playing.
