Alien swarm is a roguelike game with action elements.
You have to control an underground worm and destroy soldiers and various military equipment, but be careful, the military is hunting you! Fly out of the ground at the most unexpected moment and hit the enemies! Kill, destroy and earn points, try to set a record.

Lucky me once more gets to be the first to review another template/asset flip from Neki4 Electronics. Alien Worm is another GameMaker Studio asset flip from copy+paste repeat offenders, Neki4 Electronics. All these guys do is rip off game templates and projects for Yoyogames/GameMaker Studio, change the name and a few cosmetic details, and try to scam people into paying for someone else's work on Steam. They have run asset flip scams dozens of times, and this is no exception (just look at their other games on Steam). It's nothing but a cash grab. This time they've ripped off a basic template for a 2D retro pixel worm game (popularised by Death Worm on YoyoGames, this is very much a direct ripoff of that game). GameMaker Studio itself is a terrible game construction kit, and this asset flip shows just how bad things can get when templates/tutorials/demos from that construction kit get dumped on Steam as complete games. Asset flips and other "Fake games" (as Valve calls them) are harmful to the industry, because they pollute the marketplace and reduce the visibility and exposure needed by genuine indie developers. Honestly trash. Like the previous reviewer stated these guys tend to rip off older 2d games and they don't have anything original to add except for a more modern design. It isn't that they are copying older games that bother me, it's the fact that it's literally the same game. Maybe if they made a disclaimer that it's a remake or inspiration I wouldn't be so bothered. 0.5/10 I'd rather play the original.4 found this helpful
Don't pay full price for this game. Maybe don't pay any price for this game. At the moment it's on sale -89%... and they have to still make a profit from that price. You can see the entire game in the preview video. Pretend to play it there, it's just as fun. The "old" effect is actively annoying when you try to play, the controls are mushy and it's not necessarily clear what you're supposed to do, or how to win, or why you died. You can supposedly collect money to buy upgrades, but I don't know what difference it makes, except that you subject yourself to this 'game' longer.1 found this helpful
