THE GAME

You have just awoken in an abandoned laboratory. Who you are, how you got here, and why are you here all seem to be a mystery to you. Yet there is a more pressing matter at hand, is that it is obvious you are not alone.
If you want to survive this encounter, and perhaps get out of this place, you must quickly adapt. Your priority in this battle is to keep the facility operational. To do this you'll need to use whatever you can find, be it a flashlight to illuminate the way or concussion grenade scare off any unsavory entities. Despite these grim circumstances there are still clues which may aid your memory, and there is a slight chance you may escape alive.
Enough talk, time is running out! Your fate is in your own hands and it's now a battle of will!

TIPS

GENERATORS
These generators seem to have been abandoned years ago, luckily they still seem to run. If you want to survive your priority should be to keep them running. Don't get too comfortable though, there's no saying which generator will fail next.

FLASH LIGHT ( Right-Click )
Use your flashlight conservatively, although it recharges there's no telling what will go bump in the night.

FLASH BANG ( Left-Click )
Although there are no ballistic or blunt weapons laying around the facility there seem to be a few scattered concussion flash bang grenades scattered about. Perhaps these will slow down any pursuers.

OXYGEN
Sealed off from civilization it seems the facility can only last so long with it's current oxygen levels. Any movements you take will deplete your supply so make your moves wisely.

DOCTOR
This humanoid silently lurks through the halls looking for victims. A flash bang may stun him monumentally but it will in no way stop him.

MONKEY
With seemingly random and spontaneous movements this feral beast will hunt you down. If you want to survive you'll need to use the movement detector to prepare your counter-attack, but in order for this to work the room must be silent.

THE STYLE

Terror Lab is simple-to-play independent horror game where players can quickly familiarize controls and jump right into the action. Taking inspiration from games such as 'FNAF', 'Boogeyman' or 'Emily want to Play' Terror Lab aims to create an ominous and terrifying setting for players of all skill level to endure.

"Terror Lab" is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. It's important to also note the "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. And it's interesting to see Microids boldly putting their name on this one, they should know better. It seems to have been an attempt to make a FNAF style jumpscare/first person adventure game as you're in the basement of some dark laboratory being chased around by a chimpanzee asset. What fun. Keep the generator going or you'll get jumpscared. Despite not being in Steam Early Access (where this arguably belongs), the game is missing features and is apparently incomplete. The game was abandoned by the developer less than a month after launching onto Steam in an incomplete state. Due to the lack of meaningful progress from the developer, it's unlikely the game will be completed at all, yet the developers reprehensively have their hand o…

Now I don't know how this game is even available to play as I swear its impossible. They spawn very fast and your light doesn't last very long at all. The enemies are CRAZY fast and know where you are all the time. I felt as there was no way to beat this at all. UNTIL I DID! The only way to beat this is to cheese this game. Find a spot next to oxygen and just pray the cant grab you. Also after the 10 min auto save you can go back in and you only have to survive for like 900 seconds compared to like 2300 seconds. Crazy bug or glitch. Now once you beat it all it says shows are 2 monkeys named Max and Romeo and says "This is your brother... You are a monkey too! THANKS FOR PLAYING." Like as if it was even possible to beat this in the first place. Anyway I beat it and its over but its really not possible to beat under normal circumstances.

NEVER RECOMMENDED - nothing in this game works and the design is awful and gratification-preventing. It is an almost pitch black horror stealth game with instakill enemies with a flashlight that provides mere visibility for about NONE OF THE TIME and with enemies that are not affected by the darkness and sometimes not even the flashbang is supposed to stop them. Yes - this game expects you to play it blind. The weird thing is that when you activate a generator, it goes dark. It is anyone's guess what that is about. Nothing in the game works when it comes to helping you play the game. Your progress never happens simply because the autosaves are every 10 min and your average game, even if you try your hardest, will last for barely 2 to 3 minutes until some random enemy instakills you because you cannot see them coming. You will try different things with the same exact results and do zero progress. You can see how abrupt and without a warning the game-ending instakill event is in the gameplay trailer of the store page. That will be your whole experience with this game: carefully walk around and get insta-yeeted for no reason. It seems that this game is actually about finding th…
