The Case of the Serialized Killer

Overall a bit boring, so many conversations just to set the story, but the game let's out 3 or 4 words at the time. This approach force you to click 3 times on average (meaning there's more) to fully read one single sentence, I didn't find it very engaging, fell asleep on the couch between clicks to be honest. Not really a point and click investigation game, you don't collect clues, you don't combine anything either. There are a couple of scenes where the player must click on various areas to read some more text (more clicks) to analyse the scene and understand clues to interpret later. Characters are somewhat confusing, some interactions come out as bit cringy and definitely not relevant to this story. I found it disappointing, hoped for some more investigation and less forced irrelevant details. Would have been fun if there was a reason for all that, but simply there wasn't.

[h1] A fun, quick story with an interesting plot and compelling characters. [/h1] I had a lot of fun playing this game! The mystery is the perfect level of difficulty. I'm a big mystery fan, so I picked up on most of the clues very quickly and was able to figure things out rather fast, but I never felt like I knew everything or that the game had gotten boring. There was always new information to find!

A fun and engaging, well-written detective story with gorgeous watercolour art. This one was a real pleasure to play! Appreciated the LGBTQ representation too :)

Very fond of the art and backgrounds, looking through the extra's menu was a real treat. The music was also fantastically done, I really enjoyed some of the pieces they certainly set the mood. I'm not normally into visual novels, but I do like murder mysteries and this was a good 2 hours spent.

my friends and i loved voicing this game together. the lines are witty, some characters are loving, some characters not (novak was either lovingly referred to as no-♥♥♥♥ or not at all; all of us refused to voice him) and i enjoyed the variety! the conversations with characters were fun, the art is pretty, and i love the development between harold and faraday!!! all of the characters are unique. would absolutely play again, and have!!

A short but sweet supernatural murder mystery with a lot of drama and worldbuilding crammed into its runtime. Plenty of humour and heavily nudge-nudged gay romance. The protagonists are visually rather ripped off of Good Omens, but their characters and psychology are individual; the expressive and otherwise quite original sprites add to the remarkably unsettling atmosphere.
