About 黑暗塔 (The Dark Tower)

Maze exploration
- Free Exploration programmed Dark Tower: Drive your chariot through the dark and dangerous towers, but don't get lost! Oh no, you must be lost, like those warriors trapped forever in the dark tower

- Dungeon-style encounters: Face unexpected events that can happen at any time in the dark tower, and engage in closed combat similar to the Binding of Isaac

Game background
Game mechanics
- Bomb-man mechanic: In the game, you play as a warrior who can plant bombs to destroy monsters and clear obstacles along the way; Different from the traditional Bomberman mechanic, players can use the gold collected in the Dark Tower to continuously strengthen and give bombs special properties (and even change the original explosion mechanism of the bomb), the game also retains the classic Bomberman basic attributes (blast distance and number of bombs can be placed at one time).
- Arena Shooting: Players will have a ghost pistol that can kill alien monsters. While players use bombs to fight real world monsters in the tower, alien monsters will come from all sides to try to kill the player, but killing these monsters will gradually restore lost health

Game features
- New 3D: Although the game is a top-down view, the game uses a completely new 3D, dark style, and the in-game camera will follow the player and make the appropriate 3D rotation based on the player's movement, allowing the player to focus on the in-game scene
- Maze Exploration & Procedural generation: In the game, players can explore every corner of every layer of the Magic Tower, solve the puzzles in the tower and collect any items that can make the character stronger. Every area players explore will be generated by the program, without any possibility of repetition; There is no clear play requirements and linear flow in the game, players can explore the unknown corners and corners of the magic tower according to their preferences in the game, and constantly discover new surprises
- One-blood mechanic: Combat has no numerical mechanic, and all monsters in the game die immediately after taking damage (some special monsters may trigger special effects), which means that if you're nimble enough, you can get through the game without having to rely on item bonuses, which is consistent with the difficulty setting of Rouguelike

Bomberman roguelike dungeon crawler. For $0.99? I'd recommend it if it sounds good to you. For people that dislike bomberman, I'd say skip it. For people who don't really like roguelikes, but like bomberman, I think it is worth trying. Personally I like the mechanics in classic bomber man games better, though you don't see this style of game very often. The game is pretty self explanatory, though there is one thing that kept on bothering when playing. So in the game, when you input a direction, the character walks to the next square in that direction. Pretty basic. Though the character can not start walking towards a different square until they get to the center of the square they are walking to. Again pretty basic. What bothered me? If you hit a direction and realized you don't really want to go that way, you can't hit the opposite direction to cancel the movement (and walk back to the square you were on) I am so used to being able to cancel movements and instantaneously start walking back in other games, That not having this feature makes the game feels clunky and unresponsive.10 found this helpful
The Dark Tower is an independent roguelike action game developed and published by Qiao Yuancheng that combines procedural progression, dungeon exploration, and fast-paced combat into a challenge-driven experience built around persistence and adaptation. Instead of focusing on story-heavy presentation or cinematic moments, the game places nearly all of its attention on gameplay systems designed to reward learning and experimentation. Every attempt inside its dangerous tower becomes part of a larger process of improvement, creating a structure where failure is expected and progress comes through mastery. The central concept revolves around surviving and navigating a mysterious tower filled with traps, enemies, and unpredictable obstacles. The environment itself acts as the game’s primary challenge. Advancement depends less on numerical progression and more on understanding how the tower operates. Enemy placement, environmental hazards, and procedural elements ensure that players cannot rely entirely on memorization. Each run presents situations that require adaptation, reinforcing the roguelike design philosophy that defines much of the experience. One of the game’s more interestin…
Interesting little Bomberman clone with rogue-like elements.... The game uses a familiar game engine which lends to its generic, asset-flippy feel in nature but there's something more here. I would play this game more if it was not for the third stage that makes cloud effects hang over the level, heavily implemented so you cant see where you have to walk. Not that good when you're trapped in a small box with dramatically turning and shifting enemies and obstacles. In typical rogue-like fashion you get a choice of three cards of abilities to improve your character to improve your run after each level. The character is transported to a randomly generated stage and has to find the exit, navigating via vehicle and occasionally getting out of said vehicle to battle enemies. Even if fixed now I'm not sure if I'm gonna go back and say its overall a dramatically better game, but I would like to preserve and cherish the good impressions and give a little appreciation for an under-appreciated title.
