About The Far Frontier
The Far Frontier
is a combination of two popular game genres: match 3 and strategy. While playing, two players fight using a shared match 3 area. They must use tactics and strategy to win.History
Great Empires rise and fall and you are the King of one such Empire. Your Empire was destroyed, it was as if Nature rose up against your Kingdom. Despite that, you have not lost the support of your people. Those who survived The Great Flood followed you in search of new lands. You built a fleet and went Far Far Away to an unknown land with the hope of creating a New Empire. History is written by the winners, and this story must be yours!
Your ships were caught in a storm close to Adioniya. Adioniya is an insidious land belonging to bloodthirsty orcs with forest filled with different creatures. Legends speak of Dragons and immortal elves who lived in these lands. You don't have a choice, your people need a home. Your enemies already know about you as you are now threatening their world.
Among your people there are heroes capable of repelling your enemies. The Fort that you created must be protected at all costs from enemies with power weapons capable of destroying armies, Castles and Forts. Their warriors are ready for a quick victory. I bought this game after getting a half off price coupon from steam, and after playing with for a whopping 40 minutes there are already so many things wrong with it. Despite the fact I bought it for almost nothing, I will ask for a refund. - No tutorial (I had no idea I had to collect chests, was able to summon a hero, or get pieces for the god statue, I had to figure that out myself). - The game pretty much plays itself, it takes an automatic move, then allows you to click yourself. Some maps can be won by letting the game play on it's own. There's no strategy in that whatsoever. - I entertained myself by clicking the coins for a while since I had to wait to be able to click something, then figured out the game collects the money on it's own as well. - The chests, pieces for the god statue and especially the coins are only clickable half of the time. - You can pay to level up your units, but while playing, the units also level up themselves, it really feels like I'm throwing money at nothing. It's a thing you can do to unlock higher level equipment, which you also have to pay for to unlock it, and has to be replaced when your units die. - The graphics are far from being anything …7 found this helpful
achievements are broke dev is gone3 found this helpful
This was an interesting casual puzzle/strategy hybrid that had promise, the Dev appeared active and was responding to bug reports and all looked well. Then one day after a patch the achievements would no longer unlock and the Dev hasn't been seen nor heard from since... support and development ended just two months after launch and a year on, nothing has changed.2 found this helpful
