A cloaked figure drags road spikes across a dark highway, causing a mother to crash. When she regains consciousness, her young daughter is gone from the seat beside her. As the mother searches the adjoining woods, she comes to an abandoned house containing evidence of a mysterious tragedy that struck the family that lived there, and details about a strange fog that crept out of a nearby military base.

[b]The Fog: Trap for Moths[/b] (IHOG) Options include separate sliders for Music and SFX, plus choice of Novice or Expert mode. Hints can be turned on/off on the Options menu. I had no technical difficulties. [b]Story[/b]: A mother and daughter's outing turns terrifying when a stranger causes their car to crash, and abducts the child from the wreckage. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3632140085 I recommend playing the tutorial on this one, as I skipped it, and missed a couple of important points, such as the story unfolding almost entirely in our journal, and the fact that we're carrying something that we're periodically going to have to interact with. [b]Sights and Sounds[/b]: I have my system set to 1920x1080, and while the game in general looks just fine stretched to fit that size, the cutscenes look absolutely atrocious. The ambiance is very creepy, and you'll start seeing quite of bit of blood when you get about half way through. I got so bored with it i stopped playing it and deleted it.....constant going back in the game to get 1 item,,, pointless. no flow to the game at all
5/10. Puzzles are way too basic - even for that time.
I usually thoroughly enjoy playing these hidden objective style spooky mystery games. I loved games Enigmatis, Mountain Crime, True Fear... but this? There was so much going back and forth, and in the second half of the game I needed the hint button almost everywhere. Things were hidden in places that made no sense and solutions were put together in ways that made no sense. I just wanted to finish it so it could be over.
The hide and seek portions were the usual fare, but the story was very weird. Very disappointed with the abrupt ending, with no real satisfaction for completing the tasks.
I also had the game breaking bug spoken about by lots of others which is sad as it is right at the end and would be nice to be able to complete it. The game is ok if you enjoy the hidden object genre but I am not invested enough in the story to replay the time spent so far just to try and finish the story due to something outwith player control. Would recommend to those that like the genre if this bug was repaired but right now it is still an issue years on so don't think it is worth the time or money.
