The Gretlow Tapes

The game features some genuinely excellent moments. The entire first half is incredibly immersive: you immediately get pulled into the atmosphere, the visuals are beautiful, and the overall technical execution is very solid. Despite being developed by a solo developer, the game displays an impressive level of quality and ambition. However, the pacing changes quite drastically once you reach the basement section. This part feels somewhat repetitive and confusing, and it becomes easy to lose track of what you are supposed to be doing. I would also have appreciated more lore and narrative context to better explain the events leading up to the final sequence. That being said, the ending itself is exceptional. The closing scene is extremely well executed and leaves a very strong impression. Overall, I still highly recommend the game. The developer clearly has a lot of talent and potential, and I will definitely be following their future projects.

FANTASTIC game!!!! I was genuinely scared for about 95% of the game. The graphics and mechanics were incredible. I did have a few minor issues trying to locate somethings, but when I play a second time, I'll have a better idea.

Not as good as their previous games but still worth playing. It's a nice short spooky house game and Aegon Games is a master at adding creepy ambience noises that keep you on the edge and make you want to turn around. Lazareth was one of my favorite games ever and Gretlow tapes isn't so terrible. Just the setting and story are a bit lame compared to A Door in the Basement and Lazareth. I'd still be interested in seeing more games from this dev in the future.

This game was great atmospherically and has a great storyline as well. However, it was quite difficult finding items such as missing tapes as well as finding right things to photograph. Otherwise, great game!

Good creepy exploration game.

When I played the demo for this game... I was intrigued. Now that I've played the full release of this game... I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed. The entirety of this game was fun to play if you're a fan of horror games. You're going to get P.T. and Madison vibes from this game... so if you're into those two... you won't be disappointed here.
