I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…3 found this helpful

I can't recommend this game, becuase it feels like an unfinished demo. I mean it could be a good game, but....not. It was fun for me, but have a really short playtime. €5? No, thanks.
The Inner Darkness is a short but atmospheric indie puzzle-platformer that leans heavily into mood, symbolism, and mechanical restraint to tell its story. Developed and published by Nauris Amatnieks, the game opens with a deliberately unsettling premise: a wounded man awakens in an unfamiliar world, bleeding and disoriented, with no clear explanation of how he arrived there or what awaits him. This sense of vulnerability and confusion sets the tone for the entire experience, positioning the journey as both a physical struggle for survival and a metaphorical descent into a fractured inner psyche. Gameplay centers on a dual-world mechanic that allows the player to shift between two dimensions at will. Each dimension represents a different version of the same space, with platforms, hazards, and pathways changing depending on which reality is active. Progress often depends on careful observation and thoughtful timing, as obstacles that are deadly in one dimension may be harmless or nonexistent in the other. This constant toggling transforms even simple platforming sequences into layered puzzles, requiring players to plan routes across both realities rather than react to a single stati…
It's a short game with some decent puzzle mechanics. There's not much of a story or any horror elements really. It's a mediocre platformer with a sudden spike in difficulty, I don't have much else to say. 4/10 not worth 5$ maybe get it on a sale
