The Kingdom of the End＆The Witch of the Beginning

A fun, short action-rpg with decent enough graphics. The controls are a bit stiff, but the game is easy enough. The English translation is rough but passable. The main character and the 'bonus scenes' are cute. A worthwhile game for the discount price.

I think for $5 it could be worth it to some. Unfortunately not for me though. The action is the main delivery of the game, but its not great. Also there's a few information points aren't translated. I think they also forgot to animate some attacks because I'll randomly get hit by some floating yellow hit markers even though the enemy is standing totally still. My biggest issue tho is that the stages are an example of one step forward and two steps back. Enemies respawn in like 5 seconds no lie. So I beat 1 wave of enemies, push forward in the stage, the next wave of enemies have a barrier up so I cant go further until I beat them, and now the enemies behind me have respawned too. There's also nothing keeping the barrier holder from running off so now I'm chasing them through 4-5 waves of previous enemies, and then after beating him I have to run through the same 4-5 waves of enemies AGAIN too. All this just to progress like 10 more feet before another barrier holder shows up.

Game has increadibly slow load times, poor animations and pathetic content

It's a really short and simple game but have in mind, this is more of a "game with lewd things in it" than a "lewd game"

The Kingdom of the End & The Witch of the Beginning was a surprisingly competent and fun game. The main draw for the game is obviously the naughty parts and I think the crazy good looking character models far exceeded any expectations I had. Like really the model is just fantastic and will be giving me many days of material. I was also pleasantly surprised by the souls like mechanics of the game, but they were extremely bare bones and need a lot of polish, which I will hope for in the next game by these devs. The game does have a lot of points where there could be more polish and effort put into it, such as the combat being wildly unbalanced. Enemy ai is extremely limited, and the spells you can use are mostly unneeded when the first spell is so great and your melee is practically useless. The story itself could have been much more fun with better pacing and more time, but with how much effort was put into the character models I dont blame the devs for not being able to put more time and love into other aspects of the game. Short, but fun game. If you're looking for a long, in depth game with strong mechanics, this isn't for you. I would say I hope this does get a more fleshed out version or sequel, I did really enjoy the general gameplay, however, it was definitely shorter than expected and with less overall content than expected. Solid idea, really just needs deeper lore and a bit more fleshed out gameplay with more areas, maps and such.
