Many years ago
In a far, far away land,
a war began between two kingdoms, the white ones, and the black ones.
No one remembers who started it or why.
For years the war raged without either side gaining an advantage in battle over the other.
But a few years ago, a move that changed the balance of the war caused the enemy kingdom to rush toward their victory.
In the years that followed, battle after battle, the number of soldiers decreased, and the force of the kingdom faded.
In a desperate move, the king gathered all the last of his soldiers into one last battle that would decide the fate of the kingdom, a battle that on only one soldier managed to survive. The last hope of the kingdom, the last pawn.
In The Last Pawn, you will choose the kingdom you want to play as and cross the land in order to defeat the enemy and save the kingdom by yourself. Complete 21 different levels and face bosses in your journey to win the war.

So, this one got me surprise on how well it was! The story line is fun enough and a new way to tell it and fun if know a little bit about Chess! The shooting is consistent and keeps you occupied enough! I first thought that the minimalistic animation would bother me but it just sits good enough. The game goes 2d but changes to 3d when you visit the town for upgrades and gears! Great time spender! Just finished my first playthrough of the game. I had a lot of fun, and it got on my nerves sometimes (I am really bad with platformers), but I made it. A great game, combines both tricky platformer puzzles and decent shooting mechanics. While the story is short, it leaves a lot of room for telling your own tale in it. The difficulty varies between the different levels, which have their own shtick every time. Some were pretty easy for me as an experienced gamer, but for inexperienced players it might've taken more time. Overall, I really enjoyed the game, and I think it's actually fair priced if you have the 5 bucks. Now excuse me, time for a second playthrough! I'd give this game a solid 8/10. My favorite part of this game was how unique all of the levels were and how the game combines both 3D and 2D elements. I didn't experience any glitches and every time I died I wanted to spawn right back in to beat the level. Would 100% recommend, especially for a free game.1 found this helpful
