The Legend of Crystal Valley

I had started to play this game recently since I vaguely remember playing this game when I was 12 years old. I wanted to see if The Legend of Crystal Valley was as good as I remembered and having finished it multiple times recently it's even better than I remembered. Pros: + The puzzles are really good since there easy to solve and there's multiple ways to solve the puzzles. + I found the story interesting and compelling + The Achievements are fun to get and I find things I haven't seen before in the game + There's no bugs and glitches + The game is surprisingly polished + The characters are compelling and have personality + I liked the visuals as I liked the low poly textures and different character designs as it makes them stand out. + I liked the different locations since they're unique and doesn't make the game samey or stale. + The Soundtrack is really memorable and nice to listen too. Cons (These Cons aren't anything major or game breaking. I just like to mention them.) - I would like to have a brightness option for dark areas Overall this is one of my favourite childhood games and I hope more people try it.

Very short, way too wordy, and extremely under baked. I came back to this for nostalgic reasons but feel like I was straight up robbed of $15... Wanted to like this, and I'll admit it was somewhat nice to cross off the list finally, but this game should honestly be $5 MAX (especially given how long it's been released! It used to be in the bargain bin at retail stores for crying out loud). I can understand the good intentions of the other reviewers, but this game simply -is NOT- worth the money. All in all, if you need to play this for some reason like I felt I did, at LEAST wait until it's $5 or less. :/ Buyer beware~

If you like old style point-and-click adventures where you pick up anything not nailed down to go into your inventory for later use, and you listen to every option when talking to other characters, then you should enjoy this game. The graphics are above average for an old game, though the characters are little like plasticine figures. There are plenty of puzzles, mostly of the inventory type - "What do I need to use here?". I did not find any too difficult, though you have to be watchful not to miss small items that need to be collected , and I did find a couple of the set piece puzzles a little frustrating. A rather weak ending let it down a little, otherwise The Legend of Crystal Valley is fun to play.

Brought back a lot of memories from the classic point and click era (Monkey Island, Flight of the Amazon Queen and Grim Fandango). It still hurts that Iron Roses was delisted on steam.

This isn't a game. Its a journey...A new journey...into the unknown...expect the unexpected with The Legend of Crystal Valley. A game which is way ahead of its time. The music is captivating. The environment is worth fawning over. And a great overall storyline. Its a beautiful masterpiece. I recommend this to a must play. Its worth it. Highly recommended. :thumbsup:
