very janky and also boring. it could be better but it is not better. maybe the sequel will be better but i also hope that there won't be sequel. most interesting part was when i clipped inside mountain in the first 20 seconds of gameplay. which reminds me of the time when i was trying to find underground passage in argentina. i've never visited argentina so the whole thing was a lie, i'm sorry. not super sorry though. if you believed that then it's your own fault, who would go hunting for underground passages in argentina. this game isn't part of argentina either, might have been china. which is where the "koex studio" is most likely based in since the game had 2 language options. one being english and other china. never been to china but the country side is probably cool. but i don't know if argentina or china has better underground passages. would be cool to find treasure but it's very unlikely, might be better to try and find sunken treasure from ocean or lake. not 100% sure.2 found this helpful
The Legendary Assassin KAL is yet another of literally thousands of retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This shovelware platformer is remarkable in two ways, it's very badly made (I guess this is true for most platformers on Steam, so perhaps not so remarkable), and it's rendered with 3D low poly "art" graphics instead of the usual 2D retro pixel "art". Inching closer to basic minimum requirements for a PC game in 2022 (but not close enough) doesn't mean there's any value in this for gamers. Gameplay consists of traversing humdrum, badly made platformer levels to "assassinate" your target. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be custom…1 found this helpful
