About The Monster War
This is my first game, created in within a limited timeframe and minimal budget, which is why it is not fully polished and uses many free assets. Every aspect of this game reflects a labor of love. It is my hope that you will enjoy it for what it is, and be able to see my vision and the potential of what it could be.Welcome to The Monster WarThis game combines 3 game modes into 1 exciting and unique experience, bringing to life the heroic exploits of Lyonel Cooper, a valiant knight from the pages of "A Tale of Destiny" (my first book). Play as our hero on a quest to protect the kingdom from a relentless onslaught of monstrous invaders. Starting in the Side Scroller mode, immersive yourself in adventure across a landscape filled with danger. Push back the monstrous threat with combat and exploration, but beware—run out of time and the monster war will come to your front door.
If you do not win the Side Scroller mode, you are sent to the front lines of Tower Defense mode. Lead the battle against waves of enemies as you fortify the castle's defenses and thwart the advancing horde of goblins, orcs and trolls.If you do manage to locate the monster's base in the side scroller mode, you must win the Casual Puzzle mode, to determine the fate of the kingdom. Launch catapults and dismantle their base piece by piece. Failure here will bring you back to the Side Scroller mode, requiring you to locate their nearest stronghold again, but victory will bring an end to the war!Join the battle in The Monster War to become a part of this epic tale!

Controls may be a bit complicated for beginner gamers, but not for I a professional Gaymer who loves to GAME. This game was very entertaining. I killed a LION. AND I aint Lion about it ( jajaja just a "The monster War" little inside joke). Should totally try before you don't try. "The Monster War" is a weird Frankenstein's Monster of an Unreal kitbash... a bunch of really poor looking game assets slapped together into three confused, schizophrenic, but also really badly done game modes. You get side scrolling (why?), TD and a physics puzzle mode... none of which are great, none of which work together... heck, this would have done better if the developer had stuck to just one game mode, but doing it properly. This is unpolished and riddled with bugs, crashes, jankiness and things just not working. It's unfun, and that's why it failed so spectacularly. This comes across as something unambitious and "simple" in terms of implementation and technical quality and depth, more like a game dev tutorial or an experiment. It’s a classic case of a developer prioritizing the low effort needed to get a game listed on Steam over the actual delivery of a technically sound or compelling product. Whatever is needed to hammer out something "good" enough for Steam Direct self-publishing. Even though the game looks pretty bad (and decent visuals are a minimum requirement for any game), it's still possible this is an asset flip... the assets are completely mismatched. M…
This game isn't even complete. The only thing available is the tutorial, the animations are either missing or just plain bad, and tons of models standing in t-pose. The tutorial and start game are the same and if you get the end of the tutorial the game crashes, not that you'd want to continue playing it anyway. I don't know how the other reviewer managed to get over an hour outside of just letting the game sit open on their computer while they did other things. "Bad game" summed it up.
