The Pony Factory

Fun little game that doesn't take itself particularly seriously. I recommend it if you like very short, and very indie, experiences.

I like the part where I kill ponies. I also like the part where I kill more ponies.

I hardly ever review games. I really enjoy David's games. This is the first of his catalog that I simply can't recommend. I simply don't think it's for me. I wanted a horror story with shooter mechanics. The story is instead trying to be funny, but it tries to be funny at the expense of the atmosphere. The shooter mechanics are also just really boring and bland. It often feels more like artificial difficulty because of how simple the mechanics are.

Quite short, that's not a bad thing though. It doesn't over stay its welcome at all and is very atmospheric with some scares in there. Solid game to pass an hour.

Game very interestingly combines shooting with light distribution by locking shooting while using the flashlight. With extremely dark levels, it makes gameplay very tense and hard especially in the end, when levels are less linear. Reccomended for those who likes light and visibility mechanics in gameplay.
