About The Shape of Things

The Shape of Things takes Rubik’s cube’s basic concept but focuses on real-life objects with a more soothing vibe.
Game Mechanics
Puzzles appear in various combinations; you need to find the correct position for each piece by rotating, panning, or scaling until you find the shape of things.
Game Controls
  • Click on each piece of the puzzle to select it individually
  • Click outside the shapes to select the whole puzzle and change the point of view
  • Hold Left click and move the mouse to Left or Right to Rotate, Pan, or Scale depending on the action of the shape.
Just like in real life, mystery worlds are trapped in gachapon waiting for their release, by solving puzzles you obtain in-game coins which can be spent on the gacha machine to release your next world. Game Features
  • No pressure, no timers, just chill, progress at your own pace.
  • Easy to pick up and put down.
  • Adjust your cozy room mood by changing the weather and the time of the day.
  • Comfy to play by using only 1 hand (The other hand is for a hot drink!)
  • Pleasing sound effects and atmosphere.
  • Original soothing background music.
  • Good for just chatting and streaming with your community!
  • Play across adorable thematic worlds!
  • No punishment system, life is hard enough!

Each level will present you with an object that looks like it has been cut into uneven pieces. It is a fun and creative game where you rotate, move, and adjust small 3D pieces to rebuild everyday objects. It’s simple to understand, but some puzzles actually make you pause and think. I personally found it really relaxing to play, especially when I just wanted something calm after a long day. There is something super satisfying about slowly turning the pieces and suddenly seeing the object come together, it gives a little “aha” moment every time. Sometimes I thought I almost had it… and then realized I was completely wrong lol It’s one of those games where you tell yourself “just one more level”, and then you end up playing way longer than you planned.

For the most part I enjoy this game but the controls would drive me crazy sometimes. For example, to rotate an item you need to drag the mouse left or right but sometimes it would just stop rotating if you keep dragging and then you have to relift the mouse and grab the piece over and over again. I like the visuals and music and would have not complaints if the controls weren't frustrating. I might try it with a controller but I can't imagine it being much better.

Good puzzle game, I had fun with this one. Although I'm not sure about the perfectionism to complete the puzzles (aka needing to have shapes fit almost 100% correctly)

Quite a nice cozy game. Felt a little bit frustrating at times though when it felt like I have to put everything back together perfectly. Just felt like there was no wiggle room for perfection at times, I wish there was a bit more leeway. Also, at times I would have the puzzle complete but I would have to move a piece away and back again for it to register, maybe I was off a tiny bit but that's what it felt like.
