READ THE INCLUDED LOREBOOK I really can't overstate this, its a really good read and breathes so much life into this game that, on its own, is a pretty shallow open world shooter The Magnitudes Universe is genuinely super interesting and its a shame that this dev didn't do anything with it in the last decade

I loved this game. I've beaten it twice and it's tempting to go back for another run. The exploring portions are fun and very surreal with all kinds of massive sci-fi wreckage. The combat is simple, fun, and tense at times. The sci-fi premise is cool and drives the exploration and combat in a fun way. I would recommend it if you're looking for a more simplified shooter with great visuals.

I had mixed feelings about this one. After the main campaign I was a bit more positive but the polar expansion campaign really tipped the scales. Like others have said, the game is a ton of walking/running with some combat, mazes, and scanning tasks sprinkled in. The interesting environment kinda eased the exploration/traversing for me, stumbling into scenes of scattered shipwrecks and giant robot parts. A significant issue I had was that the movement was clunky and glitchy particularly around the edges of objects and on most inclined surfaces. I would constantly try to skirt around rocks and buildings while in combat then get mysteriously stuck in place for several seconds while being completely vulnerable to enemy fire. The clunky-ness of was sorta understandable given the characters but it did wear on me. It does have a radar system (once you understand it) with a fairly generous range that lets you know important items are near, easing the hunt for the collectables. The combat isn't great. There are 4 different kinds of weapons with 3-4 levels of quality; Repeating rifles (with varying traits), long range rifles, command gun (allows recruiting and directing allied bots), an…

Fun little open-world game with some fun gimmicks and a rich lore that is largely buried in text. Game can be beaten in ~10 hours, so not a huge time commitment.

I like the exploration, capturing bases, but this game was presented to me as very light battle and it seems that is all the game is. Run around and fight bots. Compound that with initially having weapons, shields, etc. that are all crap. Hopefully that improves.
