About The Survivalists
Survive a dynamic island teeming with mythical creatures and secrets by hunting, crafting, and building alongside up to three friends while commanding trained monkeys to assist your adventures. Explore procedurally generated biomes, raid temples for epic loot, and master the game's deep crafting system to fend off enemies and unlock the island's mysteries.
The island is alive! Your newfound home will change with day/night cycles as you explore and uncover its secrets. Hunt (or be hunted by!) animals for food and an array of mythical enemies, who aren’t necessarily pleased to see you. Get quests from a Mysterious Stranger or find them washed up on the shore. Prepare to trek into a procedurally generated wilderness, with a variety of biomes, for an adventure that’s unique to every player.
Finding the perils of island life too much or just looking to share your building expertise with friends? The Survivalists has you covered! Complete joint adventures, gain loot, trade and ultimately survive together and as you and up to three fellow castaways explore fantastical islands.
If you’re in need of a builder, a lumberjack or even a soldier, the monkeys on the island can be tamed and trained to help you with everyday tasks or back you up on raids to a fanatic camp! The Mimic System means a wide variety of functions can be performed by your cheeky new friends, with monkey management becoming key to surviving the island’s challenges.
The secret to survival is to make the most of the resources around you. Whether that’s piecing together a primitive axe to chop wood or mixing up a refreshing fruit smoothie to keep the hunger at bay, you can discover recipes and expand your options across food, item or structure crafting trees.
Looking for an epic sword to hang on your hut wall or want to lay waste to encroaching hostiles? What you seek could be in one of the many temples scattered around the island. However, getting your hands on the loot won’t be easy so any would-be raiders will need to prepare for their treasure hunting escapades.

It's a shame because the game has so much potential that it simply just squanders. It's janky and counterintuitive, and frankly, it's rather displeasing to play.
6 years out and you're telling me you can't make a separate character? It just loads you back into a previous ones. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I didn't see a way to do it. Thumbs down refund before it's too late.

It's a very fun and charming game, but is absolutely riddled with bugs. Here are some gamebreaking ones I encountered: 1. Co-op, non-host was driving a raft and got disconnected. I took a raft to theirs and could not board it due to invisible walls. The fix was to ram my raft into the trapped one at high speeds and just before it rams, press F to anchor, clipping inside of it so I could sail it. After this, I got stuck in the raft and invisible walls prevented me from leaving even on shore. I had to do the same ram trick into the shoreline to unstuck myself. 2. One time, I anchored a raft to search a shipwreck and instantly drowned while still in the middle of the raft. 3. Items constantly despawn immediately after crafting. This is incredibly annoying as it often happens to expensive items that are not trivial to immediately re-craft. 4. I started sailing a raft while a monkey was following me and it despawned while holding my purple chest. I stopped sailing and it was nowhere to be found. I had to use a summoning banana to rescue it from the void. Other than these, the game works for the most part. It has plenty of quality of life issues like being unable to interact with so…
It's fun i enjoy it
