About The Tale of Galariel

Have you ever wanted to play the villain? Ever wanted to conquer the land? Make allies ranging from Goblins, Kobolds, Dragonkin, and who knows what else. Then this is the game for you! Play as Thrusk, an orc who has lost his tribe and seeks revenge for what the human race has done to his people in this classic RPG/Dungeons-and-Dragons-styled conquest. Obtain a Keep of your own and upgrade it. Craft Potions, Weapons, and Armor to help yourself in combat. Find companions who are interested in your cause and see where they lead you. You can be a benevolent force or a malevolent crisis in this morality system, but it doesn't change the fact: You're a warlord now.

Combat: Enjoy classic turn-based combat, giving you time to strategize between each round and to help you learn from your opponent.

"Linear" World: Galariel is a Small Country in a larger world, with a linear storyline unlocking new areas and new allies to join you in your conquest.

Karma system: Choices in this world matter. Will you intimidate a shopkeeper to give you a discount, or will you persuade him? Both choices help decide if people believe you are a benevolent or malevolent person. Some people may give you special quests or help unlock classes if you are kind to the people around you, while other may find you weak. While if you choose to act like a foul Demon people may close their doors to you, hide within buildings, and close shops, as they fear you.

Loyalty System: Some companions may show loyalty to you by actions you take. Rob a church and your Cleric may think foul of you but a Barbarian may see this as a sign of strength. Run from battles a battle-hungry companion may see you as a coward, while if you fight everything in sight they gain trust in you.

"The Tale of Galariel" is a turn-based RPG. You play the "villain" but.. are you really?.. You are an orc seeking revenge on humans for wiping out your tribe. What really sets this one apart from similar games is the depth it has in both story and gameplay. You get to chose and make your orc exactly what you want it to be. His class and skills are ALL up to you without limitations. You can shape him to your liking and how you are comfortable playing as. Add to this, the skills you can learn and the vast morality and loyalty systems, and you got yourself one of the most immersive turn-based RPGs you'll ever play! Play as the best, the worst, or something in between! Shape your relationships! Rule! Interestingly, you can obtain a Keep and expand it as you wish, craft, smelt and so on. You are playing a full experience and you have absolute control over every detail, including your companions down to the tiniest detail. Even the names! The combat takes some thinking but you can win by using clever attacks even if you are at a MUCH lower level than your opponent. Don't take this the wrong way and think the game is a breeze. The battles are hard but not unfair. I like the system and …

From playing the demo, to playing this from full release. This game has all of the amazing contents of a typical classic RPG and DND elements. From the gear scaling, to the various perception checks, and dialogue options, this game hooked me in and I want to play it again and again. I cannot wait for future updates of this game to experience more of this story. Please give this game a chance.

For a first game this is an absolute blast by the Developers at We Didn't Mean 2, excited to see what is next! If you like the look of the older Final Fantasy and enjoy a more adult humour then this game is well worth the price, hours of endless fun! I was one of the testers for the game while it was in development and was even sponsored as a streamer by the developers to be able to give a couple followers the game! super nice and friendly people.
