The Treasure Below

Unfinished and clunky

The Treasure Below is a fun little third person action game that I enjoyed mainly because it keeps things focused on combat. There is no complicated story getting in the way. I simply enter dangerous areas, fight monsters, improve my equipment and see how far I can get. I liked that straightforward approach because it lets me spend almost all of my time doing the part that matters most, which is fighting. The weapon system gives the combat a good amount of variety. Swords, polearms and great axes all have different ranges and attack styles, so changing weapons can completely alter how I approach an enemy. I enjoyed experimenting with different options because some weapons are much better at controlling space while others are more useful when I want to get aggressive. Arena Mode is where the game becomes particularly satisfying for me. I have to survive increasingly dangerous waves of monsters, and the longer I stay alive the more difficult things become. I liked the steady increase in pressure because it gives me a clear reason to keep improving. Perfect game for a fun time when you just want combat. This is a fantastic game for a v0.2! A friend and I played co-op and I got stuck inside the arena gate. He died so we couldn't keep going and I was part of the gate now. Maybe have a way to unstick or have the arena on a timer.

Pros: Probably the best souls like game I've ever played. Cons: It's too short, there's not enough music, and I feel like I need to run a virus scan to make sure I didn't just install malware. It's barely a game.

You pick a class that has a unique but simple mechanic. Like a dash or faster attack. You begin in a jailcell and easily kill some goblin that may drop some potions (3 kinds which are just different sizes/amount they heal for) the 2nd kind of treasure are gems which give bonus to certain things like speed or health if kept in inventory. that is about it, if you die you keep your stuff and just respawn at the cell, but the dungeon isn't restarted. Instead you just run through empty rooms until you get back to where you died and kill what killed you. Being said after defeating the first boss and opening the treasure room...nothing happened. Not sure if its a glitch or if thats the whole game
