Whilst storming from City to City, looting buildings and suburbs for loads of Glorious Guns, Gadgets, Goodies and Gold, you must always stay alert and trigger-happy. Because The Walking Vegetables is the most Radically Rapid Turbo Paced Top Down Shooting Veggie-Zombie Mayhem you’ll ever experience!
By obtaining Radrocks from the Vegetable Kingpins, you may unlock dozens of devastating Guns, Gadgets and Melee Weapons, to help you battle on towards the ominous vegetable-ridden alien headquarters, and the dreaded formidable Mothership.
As if the vegetables alone weren’t enough, the Alien Vegeneration Ray has also affected the fruits and mushrooms. Thus over 20 freshly squeezed organic and unique enemies are eager to have a taste of your humany flavour.
... And if by chance you manage to survive the unending onslaught of said Ripe Ravenous Ravagers, the several Epic Boss Fights are sure to put an end to your measly rebellion... and existence. Muahahahahaaa!
Build up your character creating powerful effect combinations by choosing from more than 20 unique Skills, including such game changers as Big Game Hunter, Pulpinator, Akimbo, Tongue of Steel and more!
The content is OVERFLOWING! A single playthrough merely scratches the surface on what The Walking Vegetables has to offer. Grand pools of randomized Buildings, Sections, Enemies, Bosses, Weapons and Items will make every playthrough a completely unique experience. The Walking Vegetables, developed by Still Running and published by MG Publishing and Tagstar Games, is an energetic twin-stick shooter that fully embraces its absurd and whimsical premise. In a world overrun by mutant, hostile vegetables, players take control of a lone hero tasked with battling through wave after wave of bizarre enemies. The game combines fast-paced action with roguelike elements, presenting procedurally generated levels, randomized power-ups, and a constantly evolving battlefield. Its over-the-top concept is supported by gameplay that is simple to pick up yet challenging to master, creating a mix of chaotic fun and strategic decision-making. Gameplay centers on twin-stick shooting mechanics, allowing players to move and fire independently in a fluid and responsive manner. Weapons and power-ups are scattered throughout each level, giving players opportunities to upgrade their arsenal and experiment with different strategies. The lack of a reloading mechanic ensures that the action flows continuously, keeping players engaged in near-constant combat. +Some player choice -Looks pretty bad -Limited to FullHD and 60Hz -Spawning enemies -Different areas, navigating feels like a chore - open world with some buildings you can enter, but cleared buildings show similar to non-cleared ones -> entering will change area = annoyance = Disappointed. Since I wouldn't recommend such game for myself, I won't do it to you either.
It is a really short game. You wave-clear certain locations to unlock the boss battle, beat it and beat all the three stages. It is really barebones as a game of this genre. The last boss's second form (from Dragon Fruit to Dragon Spider) had an annoying, difficult-to-avoid chasing pattern. It is possible to beat the game in 15 minutes or less if you know what you are doing. You probably do not want to spend a lot on such a short game. You have to do extra locations to make it last more than an hour and the reason you probably have to do it is to grind for more ammo. Some weapons have such a poor ammo economy that they are not worth using (Tommy Gun).
