The Witch's Garden

"The Witch's Garden" is a kind of pointless mobile-app like ripoff of Stardew Valley but with low poly "art" graphics and most of the game loops and narrative cut out... which really makes you wonder what the point is. What do you do in the game? Click on plant plots to grow crops. Heck, Farmville has more going on in it than this does. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Game doesnt seem enitrely finished as of the time Im writing this, but it scratches that growing plants, discovering recipies and crafting itch and it's free, so yay :D

Kept Deleting my Progress when I left the Game. Very Sad. It's a fun game but losing my progress each time is very off-putting.

The game is cute and fun, but after closing and reloading the save, all progress is lost - which seems to be a known issue for the past years. Based on forum discussions, it appears that the devs will not update the game as it was a school project that has been abandoned since. Fun for a few hours if you don't plan on coming back.

I loved the idea of the game, but items are dissapearing before i can use them so my inventory is dwindling and i have no gold to buy more seeds to replace the plants that dissapeared and i have essentially been glitched to a point i cannot play anymore.

Very cute game, but the saving is bugged when you try to countinue progress the game resets most of it. When I tried to go inside the house the game displayed the save massage but I couldn't interact wit it, and got stuck. I'd still recommend but try to do everything you want in the game in one go (you can definetly finish the story, but if you want to try every potion that might take a while).
