They Left Us Here is an atmospheric but linear sci-fi exploration walking simulator and puzzle game with a few action sequences thrown in. It's quite middle of the road in terms of rating because although the story is quite intriguing, ultimately it fell flat for me, and I think I would need to play it again to fully understand it. The game mechanics are nothing new either, with notes, posters, and computer logs providing the story, and puzzles involving finding objects and key combinations to open doors and safes. There's also a couple of sequences where you have to run and avoid NPCs which injected some jeopardy and excitement, and exploration is quite atmospheric with dark rooms creating tension and trepidation and overall the game succeeds in providing a nice sci-fi feel. It's a shame the game wasn't a bit longer, coming in at under two hours, but I am fine with that. I do think that time could have been extended by making exploration a bit more involved, like being able to open drawers, lockers, and searching in cupboards and bins etc. Just simple operations like picking up objects and turning them around to reveal clues or taking objects apart would have been nice.…

Fantastic if not short example Cassette Futurism done right (outside of ROUTINE and CONTROL). Great worldbuilding with contemplative narrative. decent fetch-quest mechanics (e.g. they make sense and are not tedious). wonderfully designed enemies and level aesthetic. i only wish that A. the game was 5x longer and B. there was more of a score or sonic atmosphere to accompany the incredible visual aesthetics and lore.

I played the demo to this back in May 26, and bought the full game soon after. I really enjoyed the graphics and sound scape of the station that you fin yourself in. I alight bugbear for me was that it felt like a keyhunt on occasion. For example you find a box and you get a message saying I could do with a knife to open that, so you then walk around and end up finding a key which opens and cabinet which has a knife inside, But that said I did enjoy it for the most part and it was spooky on occasion too, with a few jumpy parts.

Short and sweet, altough the design of the bots is really formulaic and the hunter drone have no reason to have a face, really.

It was an interesting game? the designs were nice and I loved the atmosphere but.... the horror and the actual story I didnt get all that much? to fans it must be amazing but unfortunately I dont think I was the exact target audience for this.
