Tiki Tandems is an online and local, fast-paced multiplayer game!
The genre of the game is a Fighting game, although it doesn't really fall into 1 category. The best way to classify Tiki Tandems is a fun party game to play with your friends! But you can also queue up against anyone in the world and fight for the number 1 rank. The fighting style is somewhere in between Brawl Stars and Super Smash Bros but with 1 key difference. The players do not have health or knock-back bar and you can fight each other as much as you want
So what is the main goal and how do you win then?
Both Tikis fight over the grace of the Totem. In the middle of the 2 players, there is a big Totem which decides who wins the match. The Totem can be turned by both players all the time by hitting one of its 2 wings. Depending on the angle and distance between the players and the Totem, the totem rotates in the appropriate direction with the appropriate amount. The first Tiki to successfully turn the Totem by 180 degrees wins the match!
There is also a second functionality to the Totem. If you were to turn the Fists of the totem you increase your Dedication to the Totem. The more dedication you have, the more powerful your attacks become
Tiki Tandems is a fast-paced game. The game is meant to be very straightforward and easy to play for anyone. There isn't a huge skill cap but you definitely need practice to be the best at the game. We wanted to make the game accessible to as much of a wider audience as we can, so whether you are playing at home with your friends or grinding against players worldwide you can always compete with everyone. The matches last 3 minutes, so that you can play many rounds without being stuck playing against 1 person. Or if you are playing a local tournament on one machine, everybody can play without having to wait a long time, similar to Tekken-style rounds

Upon starting the game for the first time i had to go into windowed mode so that i could click the menu buttons at all (this is a problem with scaling on windows, my monitor is at 100% native scaling but the game is being rendered at a lower resolution making it not possible to click the menu buttons without guesswork), i had to press ALT+ENTER on my keyboard in order to go into windowed mode and THEN i could play the game. This is not helped by the fact that the options menu only features a Low Medium High preset for the graphics and no resolution options. Also even though i have moderately high end specs the game was spinning up my fans like crazy, no FPS issues to it was above 60 all the time. The second run of the game there were no scaling issues. Nitpick but Geyser is spelled Geyser. I was able to go through all of the content the game has in under 5 minutes, this includes split screen co-op. There is a definite need for more content, only having one map centered around the totem gamemode with just a day/night difference is not enough. The cutscenes are unskippable, this gets very annoying when you have to see the characters run into the arena every time you play a matc…15 found this helpful
"Tiki Tandems" is a failed PvP arena brawler that requires users to hand over personal details and create a user account with the toxic, Tencent backed EGS, an anti-consumer, anti-competitive, cancerous blight on gaming. And the developers of this product demand that you bow down to Tencent and hand over personal details to them just so you can play this abandoned garbage. No way. Your privacy and your rights as a gamer are tantamount. Don't sacrifice them to this Tencent backed business endeavour. Stay safe out there.2 found this helpful
Me and a friend played the game for a while, just de tutorial and 1 pvp between us, here is my thought abt this. PROS: overall good visuals, good sounds, good idea, nice music CONS: physics kind of suck, we didnt like the game mode at all bc it was boring and could be insanely quick, not much of a variation of characters (visual) but nice skills for each one. All in all is a game with good ideas and possible good future, but it surely needs to be polished to its best, improving their physics, their gamemode, i would love to see this with a deathmatch 1v1 or 2v2, of 3-4 rounds in different maps, with different boosters or interactive objects.2 found this helpful
Game is buggy; do an ALT + ENTER to get into windowed mode. Then go to your browser as it will make you sign into https://www.epicgames.com/id/login After that I was able to set the graphics to HIGH and 3840 x 2160 all was Super sharp. It's like a TPS where the RS controls the camera. The game is not polished; it has some bugs in graphics, controls, etc. Couldn't get LOCAL COUCH PVP to work at all, but even if it did -- the game isn't worth playing.1 found this helpful
