My gambling addict friend said if I post a review Timber! and it gets 350 likes and 150 Awards that he will buy me a case of beer and some vodka .So I'm just gonna leave this here

I have some connections to the developers, so I decided to try their game out. And suffice to say, this is not something I would've picked up had I been left to my own devices, but I'm still glad I did. Timber! is all about conveying a story through comprehensible means, and the main method used is through visual story telling. And while a little rough around the edges, the visual direction is in direct contrast to the underlying plot, and is almost solely responsible for keeping the game as lighthearted as it is. In comparison, the overarching story of the game is not anything absolutely unique, but through the help of different affable characters and the aforementioned visual direction, the game has built itself a certain charm that only these developers could produce. And because the game is still early in its development, it's only fair to acknowledge that the game holds merit and the direction it's taken in its early stages is of sound judgement. That's to say, there's some noticeable discrepancies in some of the details, most notably issues with clashing layers, but never in the story or the way it's conveyed. In conclusion then, I believe that there's all the right element…

The story of the game is something I definitely want to see progress further and I want to know where it ends up. So far the game is just a small demo, but it does give a taste of what the overall feel of the game will be like and it's something that I hope gets finished. The sinister undertone of it is also something that gets you more invested into the game. One bug that I noticed is that when you get past the bee the first time and have to find the bathroom, you can leave the house, after which you basically get stuck outside because Ewa no longer has the flowers so you can't get back in past the bee.

Id really like to play this. Unfortunately I dont have the patience. She moves at a snails pace and cant be hurried no double clicking exits or running as far as I can tell. I could live with that but the conversations are also incredibly slow, once you click on a character you are locked into long un-skippable dialogs with no way to fast forward them. This definitely discourages exploration, a bad idea in a point and click, Another problem is that exits are not marked in anyway you just have to wander offscreen and where to go isnt always obvious. Also i encountered a bug in the beginning of the game when MC dealt with the beehive. The game camera dragged me over to stare at the ground and wouldnt move again. I had to restart. If these issues are fixed I would love to play more, the story was intriguing. But as is, its just too frustrating.

Timber! delivers! Yes. It's some sort of funny lumberjack experience with a sinister story/secret hidden beneath the surface. I would love to see more potatoes.
