Time Travel Light Novels Are Full of Beautiful Girls is an imaginative and highly experimental visual novel developed and published by CHEN JIE, an independent creator who ambitiously merges elements of traditional web novels, romantic adventure, and AI-assisted storytelling. The game stands out immediately for its meta concept: rather than focusing on a single narrative or timeline, it invites the player into a kaleidoscopic world composed of ten overlapping novel genres, each inspired by popular tropes of Chinese online fiction such as cultivation, immortal sagas, reincarnation, and time-travel fantasies. This sprawling framework makes the game feel like a hybrid between a parody and an anthology, constantly shifting tones and settings while maintaining a light-hearted, self-aware energy. The structure is divided into ten volumes and over a hundred short chapters, amounting to around twenty-five thousand words of narrative content. While this may sound concise compared to large-scale visual novels, CHEN JIE uses the format efficiently, constructing a briskly paced experience filled with varied scenarios and archetypal characters. Short and basic visual novel. The game starts with a timeline of about 100 icons, each representing a chapter. You don’t have to follow a set order becasue you can jump into any chapter you like, including the final one. Each chapter lasts roughly a minute, so the entire game can be completed very quickly. There are no choices to make and no additional content unlocked after viewing all the scenes. Apart from the chapters, there’s also a basic clicker mini-game. You tap on a tree to gather resources, with each click increasing your experience and level. However, the resources themselves have no use, making the mini-game little more than a distraction.3 found this helpful
