About TOHU

Experience a brand new adventure game set amongst a world of weird and wonderful fish planets. Explore beautiful environments and solve intricate puzzles as a little girl, joined by her mechanical alter-ego, Cubus. Together they will discover the truth about themselves and the mysterious Sacred Engine that powers their world.
Explore vivid and atmospheric locations, meet intriguing characters, and solve elaborate puzzles - all on your quest to repair the Sacred Engine. As The Girl you are light and nimble, and so can reach areas of the world that others can't.

At any time you can transform into The Girl’s mechanical friend, Cubus. Need something heavy lifting? Need big strong arms to catch lightbulb flies as they pass by? Need to win an impromptu arm wrestle with an arcane and somehow tangible mirror image of yourself? Cubus has you covered.
Each fish planet in TOHU is brought to life through bewitchingly beautiful artwork and is packed with detail. Meet a cast of bizarre characters and uncover cute critters to collect!
You'll need your wits about you to solve TOHU’s unique and wacky conundrums. From a simple search for critters needed to power your expanse-traversing fly-ship, to learning how to operate a moustache-imbuing mole cannon.
TOHU also features a musical score by Christopher Larkin, the award winning composer responsible for the soundtrack of Hollow Knight.

It’s a game that’s totally worth the price, I picked it up during the summer sale. You play as a curious young girl who can switch between human form and a mechanical alter ego, and use that ability to solve a variety of point and click style puzzles while exploring a strange world of floating fish like planets powered by mysterious mechanisms. The puzzles are the highlight of the experience. Each one feels different, requiring you to gather items, read clues, and experiment a bit, but they are generally not too difficult, just needing some patience, and a few may take a couple of tries. There is also a surprisingly fun hint system that turns help into a small mini game rather than just giving answers directly. The game encourages careful exploration since you need to talk to NPCs, interact with objects multiple times, and collect all creatures for achievements. Missing even one can be painful because there is no chapter select or cutscene skip, so you may have to replay large portions if you miss something. I learned that the hard way after having to walk all the way back across a map, even that “just decoration” creature actually counts. Overall, it’s a short, cozy puzzle game th…

100% this game and as much as I found the story line pretty cute, it seems the devs created this game while only having knowledge inside their brain and expect us to know it, literally NO other clues in most puzzles or any direction towards them you have to just guess it, trial and error and probably spam the hint button but even that is annoying. I get there are hints on the side of the screen but I don't believe you need that for every puzzle, a lot of the puzzles here are trial and error and it's a waste of time. I play puzzle games to sit back, relax and think... not having to click on every object 10,000 times. I did finish it somewhat in a relatively quick time, however the mis click to scene to scene or door to door and having to crawl all the way back has a long animation and really made my head hot. Ending was cute, i'll give it that.

It's really pretty and fun. I am quite sensitive, so I found audio and visuals overwhelming sometimes - but not enough not to recommend it!

I found this game rather tedious. While the art is cute and well done, I found it difficult to follow, often requiring a guide to even understand what needed to be done or what was expected.

This was such an oddball of a game! Everything is so weird and unexplained, the devs clearly having a blast making so many bizarre locations and creatures and things! So much of this game's charm was the world, and how fantastical and unique it was. It really made for a one-of-a-kind experience and I love that style of worldbuilding so much!! Despite how unpredictable the world was, the puzzles felt fairly grounded or at least never felt like too big of a leap in logic! A few difficult ones here and there but nothing too hard! Plus it has a lovely artstyle, a fun silent narrative and pretty music! Great game!!

A decent point-and-click/puzzle game. Not quite my thing but it was good for a short run.
