About Tokyo Pinball

A game designed to introduce the fun of pinball.
Whether you have never played pinball before or not, I hope you will enjoy playing it!

🔰 Let's Play Pinball

To make it easier for beginners to play, automatic slow motion, stamina-based kickback, and nudging are implemented. Tokyo Pinball is a good place to start if you have never played pinball.

🎲 Features

The game implements the following features that are familiar to pinball players.
Such as Jackpot, Nudging, Kickback, Extra Ball, Hold Bonus, Hurry Up, Score Multipliers, Ball Saver and Game End Bonus

🙋 FAQ

Do you have multi-balls?
No. I have tested multiball several times and decided that it is not suitable for this game for the following reasons:
  • the incompatibility of top view 2D pixel art and multiball.
  • frequently switch display layers (inside buildings) in the playfield.
  • slow motion and pauses occur when the player does not intend to.
  • narrow margins of the playfield designed for speedy single-ball play.

Are there multiple levels?
No. I believe it is more important for players to play one level repeatedly and feel that their play improves than having multiple levels in this game. If additional levels are implemented, they will be sequels.

My controller is not responding!
Only XInput controllers are supported; you can play with other controllers by emulating keyboard input with a Steam client or other software.

Do you have any information about the game rules or terms of use?
Please check the "README" and "GAMERULE" files in the installation folder, or refer to the "View the quick reference" and "View the manual" on the store page.

Ok sadly I'm late to leave a review, but this is probably the best and most solid pinball ever. The physics are close to perfect so close that you cant play without the slowdown on the pits, this is the only pinball where the mechanics actually work as intended its pretty common with pinball that the ball pushes intead of bumping the ball to a direction, this ♥♥♥♥ works exactly as intended. normally when developers try to create a virtual pinball game they go for some game crazy gimmicky fully as a fake pinball, as I said before Most SOLID there's a perfect balance of REAL pinball aka the board having the leds showing you how far you are from something, multiplyers sshown on the board, mildly difficult shots but having the real treat of losing the ball (saldly the slowdown is necessary imo) but at the same time the game feels like its suppose to be a game and not a pinball its like the perfect on point balance where the bumpers and rails seem part of the world instead of a fake pinball table, the shots you get launch consume the pinball and relaunch instead of just beign a bumper reflecting the ball. For example normally I believe game devs ♥♥♥♥ up the score system, this game some…

My favourite Pinball game behind more casual ones like the stuff on the GBA.

First of all, Z and M are the paddles, so it's a small jump from A/D or Left/Right. Cute "Where's Waldo?" style pixel art does a great job of replicating the "scale aspect" of a Pinball cabinet. Sound is passable - not a Williams game, but it doesn't pretend to be. But it's three dollars, and is great for a rainy day :)

This is more of a technical review. The game supports 1440p120, which is great and not exactly something I expect from small indie titles. Tate mode is also included, so if you have a rotary stand, use it. It's so much better. You also get a single, mildly customizable CRT filter and a reverb filter to help make it look and sound like an old arcade machine. All of these can be disabled for a crisp, more modern look and feel. As for the table itself, I've only played a single game to see how it runs. That's not nearly enough to form a proper opinion. All I can say is that 2,99€ for a single table is pretty much industry-standard. At that price point, waiting for a sale doesn't really make any sense, so grab it if you're interested.

Fun retro-style pinball. There's only one table, but it's cheap and has enough features to be interesting, I like it!
