Tony Hawk's™ Pro Skater™ 3 + 4

i dont normaly leave negetive reviews, i get that not all games turn out good and thats ok. but i feel like thps 3-4 does not have a excuse thps 1-2 was awsome they hade the perfect platform to build on and yet somehow they manage to change nothing and make it worse at the same time. actualy impressive if you ask me. 50% of the thps games are the soundtrack for me and this one sucks! very much so. another impressive feet from them, this is the first thps ever that i turnd off the soundtrack halfway thru the game.

Having an absolute blast as I did with 1+2! Personally I have no attachment to Pro Skater 4 so the structural changes don't bother me, plus since I chose to buy it on pc I can just mod in the original soundtrack :)

This game is such a disappointment after playing 1+2. I was really hoping for the evolution of play, but instead we have a dumbed down version of 3 and with 4 missing levels instead has bizarre waterpark/pinball choices. No manual challenges in London. No chasing the pig. Would not recommend.

TL;DR - Its one of those times when you'd rather have it in this state, than not at all. If you have memories of Canada and Cruise Ship, or Alcatraz and London, and you want to see them all in glorious HD then this'll scratch that itch. But be warned, there's a lot of little changes that add up. Firstly, as everyone says and I won't dwell on it, the THPS 4 levels being timed levels is... its just an incredibly poor choice. And making some of the levels Compeition only (like in all the games before this), instead of every level having a triggerable competiton section as with the original game? Whaa? There're goals that've either been removed, or changed: - For the former, it makes sense in this instance to sacrifice some of the goals in THPS4 to keep the list the same length as the list for THPS3, but there're some omissions that're head scratchers. For example: In the Suburbia level of original THPS3, there's the objective of finding some lighting fluid for some dudes and their BBQ, not in this one though... but the guys are still there, still poking around their BBQ, and still wondering out loud about lighting fluid. - For the latter: freeing the elephant in THPS4's London lev…

even though the game takes thps 4 and runs it thru the thps 1-3, 2 minute challenge format, its still hella good.
