The leading roles are also our miko and magician.

Dreaming Butterfly is a pretty solid fangame that (on Normal Mode at least) is easier than the average Touhou Shoot 'em up. Bullet patterns are entertaining, the dev seems to have a particularly good knack for inventive survival spellcards. All bosses past the first have one. The main gameplay gimmick is a mixture of elements from Touhou 7 and 8: You have a gauge that shifts left for damage/kills during focus mode and right while you're unfocused. If you reach either end of it, you get a temporary shield that will turn into a lifepiece if carried through its full duration. The shield is generally pretty easy to activate and the gimmick play feels slightly overpowered if correctly utilized. However, this doesn't hurt the game too much. The music is unusually gentle for this kind of game and perhaps not so energizing as we're used to by for example ZUN. It's very orchestral, you'll hear drums and violins and flutes. The combination and soothing style works best with the ending theme! Something that would have been nice to have is to actually see your highscore and have it recorded. All in all, Dreaming Butterfly is a good game. It's not at the level of the official games, but fun for…

Ok, if you like Touhou Azure Reflections, this is the same but shorter, harder, and with 2D sprites. It has a story but it's only in Chinese so I don't know what it is. For being a Touhou game, music is no big deal, they could have chosen other more classic themes with some remixs. I recommend it! Especially if you were wanting more for Azure Reflections.

I can't not recommend this game being a big fan of this genre this game is so much fun and slightly on the easier side for normal mode anyways but not without real challenge. As for any faults i see-being able to see my high score when i die and or win the game seems to me to be an essential part of the game, and not really a fault but i would love to see full English support too.
