Touhou Multi Scroll Shooting 2

This game is sexy. I like it. Cool mechanic, interesting, boss fights, nice stuff. Only negative is the wonky balancing and the hit or miss stage design.

This time there's multiple characters, 7 Stages, and overall it's a huge improvement on the original. Some of the bullet patterns really had me sweating my ass off trying to dodge them, but using Sakuya's time slow ability actually felt super engaging and fun. MSS 2 is a game that likes to have a little fun with the property, the characters appearances are a little embellished let's say. Some scantily clad outfits are aplenty if that's your bag, but most of the game remains PG for those of us who are just here for the gameplay. The music is a bit of a mixed bag but I was really enjoying the rendition of Heian Alien that plays when you fight Nue, and when she transformed into an actual UFO I thought that was pretty funny and cute. The gameplay is actually really solid this go-around, with stages having some strange difficulty …

I managed to clear the hard mode using Marisa, but I doubt anyone can beat the EX stage with her... The hitbox is too large, and she lacks any special skills, sad

Reimu is good if youre playing for the first time and her bomb is pretty useful. Marisa does big damage (nothing has the exact amount of health where her damage numbers matter) but her bomb is useful in some situation. Only use sakuya if you want to get calloused hands, her skill is goated but her bomb and focus attacks are basically useless (compared to her regular attack). If youre good at this kind of game then i would recommend sakuya, she does pretty good damage whether or not youre focused and you can press the skill key/button to literally slow down time (quite overpowered) Oh crap i forgot to review the game uhhhh its basically like deltarune but if the entire game was the roaring knights final attack
