Tranquil Builds

"Tranquil Builds" is basically a typing game, but with a very unique and lovely concept. The gameplay is so relaxing and creative, it’s hard not to love it. I do wish there were more patterns to play with, it’s definitely worth paying more for an expanded experience! Perfect for unwinding. Huge thanks to my friend for gifting me this treasure. Highly recommend!

I don't think that I've ever played a typing game before, and certainly not one in which typing created small but lovely & relaxing dioramas! Having only recently played Diorama Builder, which seeks to replicate the model-making process, it was fascinating to experience Tranquil Builds' completely different approach to generating dioramas. This elegant and free game displays small sections of text (one word per line) with short breaks between sections; one of (currently) seven different dioramas is gradually constructed as the text is copied by the user. The background music is gentle and relaxing, and I found the typing to be stress-free and very error-tolerant: my recurring fault was to automatically type punctuation symbols like commas and apostrophes, none of which the game requires. When any mistyping occurs, the game just waits until the expected next letter is typed; as I am not a proper touch typist (though I can type quite quickly and accurately), I was glancing up at the words on the screen and back down to the keyboard regularly so I quickly realised when the game had halted. Calming typing game. If you have keyboard with satisfying *click* sound then it's even better. It's a shame it's so short tho + if you already type fast, you will finish whole game in 30 min (and dev suggest some of the levels to be 20-30 minutes because of amount of text). With every word you type you can see new structure to come to life.
