Warning: Asset Flip!
Travel The Words is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unreal marketplace asset packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. He tacked them onto a crap word game template and made it VR exclusive in order to try prevent people from actually playing it (as usual with asset flip scams like this, the objective is not to make a real game for gamers, but to try scam people out of money and scrape up a few bucks by dumping keys for this into nasty mystery game bundles). Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. I love this game. It is well designed, and when you just want to chill out in the evening, it helps to make it a nice way to wind down. And I am a long time word search game enthusiast. I used to do these puzzles in the daily newspapers, which was prior to the internet boom. The VR just adds to the chill factor, and you can learn a lot from the dialogue in the game. The developer obviously spent some blood, sweat and tears producing this game. Nice job, Dev!2 found this helpful
