Terra Alia VR: A Multilingual Adventure

Great concept. I would love to play the game more but there is a huge issue with this game even understanding my pronunciation. No matter the pitch, how fast, how slow. I keep failing pronunciation. If I was to repeat a phrase to a Japanese person before they see me they would think I am actually fluent. Saying white flower 8 times before the speech recognition thinks its correct is infuriating. Please do something about this. I would recommend it a thumbs up if this is updated.

So far I've played through the first level. I have a bit of practice speaking / reading / learning Japanese so nothing was too hard yet. I liked the way the quizzes are built into the game. This game is by far a step above any language learning app I've played so far. I will update this review a few times as I get further into the game. Some feedback for the devs: The interaction is a little bit clunky at times It would be great to have controls for the Valve Index controllers in the game as well For Japanese I really wish there was an option to replace Romanji with hiragana / furigana. They're a lot more helpful for reading.

Just begun the adventure, first I bought the wrong version, now I have them both and non-vr version. Before buying be sure to have a mic !!! This is a clever use of voice recognition, mixing learning with adventure/explore/sandbox mechanics. Takes some time to get into, but learning is half the game. Loving it so far, very addictive. Wish there was much more to handle and interact with, perhaps it even have some real LLM ai to talk to in the end...

It is a fanciful game with a fun way of disguising repetition. It has a few issues but all in all it is a fun experience and I do enjoy this fun way to practice. The multiplayer is a great idea; however, no one plays it. Since no one plays it, the multiplayer is unusable. The only thing this game and company are missing is more advertisement and publicity.
