My friend Damia recently went on a trip around the world. She started in Australia and went around China, Nepal, India, South Korea, Indonesia and few other countries.
She learned about people's struggles, experienced life with the locals and learned about their culture. Seeing her Facebook posts inspired me. I was pumped to do the same!
The only problem was that all I had was 100 bucks in my bank account and a Vive.
That’s why I decided to build an app which would let me travel in VR.

Gameplay
- Try moving your head around to highlight different countries.
- To spin the earth, hold down the trigger on your right hand and move it.
- To make the earth bigger, press down the grip button on both controllers and spread your hands apart.
- Look at the country you want to travel to. When the country is highlighted, press the left touchpad to travel.

There are over 500 videos from all over the world to watch. All in 360°.
China
This app won't work in Mainland China. Sorry about that. This has something to do with the Great Firewall.

Визуально игра выполнена на высочайшем уровне, модели достопримечательностей детальны и реалистичны, а окружение дышит жизнью благодаря динамичным погодным явлениям и звуковому сопровождению. Погружение в виртуальную реальность действительно впечатляет, создавая эффект присутствия в выбранном месте. Помимо визуального великолепия, игра предлагает интересный интерактив. Исследовать локации можно свободно, взаимодействуя с различными объектами и получая информацию об исторических фактах и культуре. Особенно порадовал режим гида, где ненавязчиво рассказывают о самых интересных местах. Несмотря на все плюсы, хотелось бы больше разнообразия в плане активности. Сейчас в основном сводится к осмотру достопримечательностей и прослушиванию гида. Добавление мини-игр или заданий, связанных с изучением культуры, сделало бы игру еще более захватывающей. В целом, 'Travel VR' - отличный выбор для тех, кто любит путешествовать или мечтает об этом. Это прекрасный способ отдохнуть, узнать что-то новое и окунуться в атмосферу других стран и континентов. Travel VR is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, Travel VR is a software application that presents a shonky version of Google Earth with a few crap VR videos that you can stream in certain spots. There's no gameplay. Google Street View isn't a game. Neither is this. Since the videos are all streamed, it's likely some or all of them won't play due to the age of the application. As we continue to measure what value different products on Steam have, it's quickly apparent this has none. You're better off spending your time watching Youtube than trying to get this train wreck to work. And it's not even a game. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. I can not enter any area. it loads up the earth and i can move it around but it will not let me enter any area this game needs to be fixed i am not the only one having this problem i would not recommend this till it is fixed
Videos don't load. Hangs on the "Loading" screen. I have fiber internet and get 1-1.5 GIG speeds so it's not bandwidth.
The program simply locks up and does not work, there is definitely a bug here.
