A small but challenging vania about a monster basher that must rescue his friends. You must hit the monsters with light to make them vulnerable and you need to beat them to open gates than need a certain number of monster souls. There are plenty of secrets and a few hidden shops, it's very fun romp.1 found this helpful
Control takes a bit to get used to but its a very fun game. I really liked the movement :)
Fun game! Took me a little over 5 hours to beat the game (including bashing all monsters and finding all pages). But there were still a few things I missed, such as one minor weapon and I didnt get all the achievements. That said, its fun metroidvania with old school graphics and music but modern gameplay and quality of life design. The controls felt good other than the occasional accidental dash. The map is good with multiple ways to access certain areas. And if you are like me and see a place that "looks possible" to cheese your way to, this game will allow you to make the effort to get there :) If you like metroidvania games, this is a good game to enjoy for a week or two exploring its map and findings it secrets that won't overstay its welcome.
The combat, platforming, characters, and monsters, all very memorable and enjoyable. I had a great time playing through to the end, I might try my hand on some of the achievements, too. Fun lil' game.
cool game
This game really nails the metroidvania formula with style. There is definitely the sense of exploration and I love that it doesn't start you out with a map so you are building up your memory of the landscape as you go. Update: Just finished at nearly 7 hours in. Honestly such a fun game.
