About TypeOut
This isn't your typical typing test. Unlock Powerups, create a loadout, and battle your way through prompts as fast and accurately as you can to allocate powerups and strategically attack your opponents in an effort to slow them down.
Currently in early access. More game modes, powerups, unlockables, and features to come throughout the development process.

A lot of potential with this game. I enjoy monkeytype, so I was pretty hyped to try this. They did add in the ability to type through errors as it was a feature people were saying it was missing. However, I wished there were more options for practicing and warming up. Tried messing with the settings, but hope there's more updates on it in the future. Also couldn't really find players to play with, but that's no big deal since I assume as the game's player base grows, it won't be an issue. Looking forward to what Novelkeys will bring to the table. While lacking in it's current state, I want it to do well, so I do recommend people to give a look at its early access price if they are remotely interested. PS. Also hoping to see more theme options like Darling. Also some of the achievements are bugged, ended up getting a whole bunch after the tutorial when I shouldn't have1 found this helpful
Thought this would be better than Monkeytype but it's not. No multiplayer, settings randomized, annoying powerups, words scramble when you mess up one letter.1 found this helpful
I think I only got this game because I was looking for a typing game and I saw this one having online competition and I thought it looked interesting. After playing the game, I came to understand that sometimes crazy and chaotic is always the best answer. It also doesn't help that there are better competitive typing games out there nowadays like Final Sentence. From my experience, it lags a noticeable amount and the power-ups throw off anyone trying to type at a reasonable speed. Its hard to type faster compared to others when the screen or font starts screwing you over until it gets to the point that the game itself is trying to sabotage you instead of your opponents. Speaking of which I feel like the devs gave up on this game. Its underwhelming with no value to winning and just not worth it to play this.
After the first few games I saw a dramatic improvement in the speed and accuracy of my typing!
Game keeps bugging on me, where I need close and restart the game after each match. Reported this bug through Steam and their official Discord server, not a single response. I like the idea of this game, but at this moment wait until this game gets out of early access. And even if the devs sorted out the bugs, I think they need to make this game Free to Play, since it's a very niche game and you need a lot of a player base to enjoy the online part of this game.
This is a neat little typing gaming. I like the competitive aspect. Makes me want to get better at typing. Even the bots you face against keep you on your toes but are not unfair. The only critique i can give is the when the match is using gibberish as a text source, i would like a wider variety of words. feels to much like the same words come up over and over again. Still a fun little challenge. I also would like to see the novel title theses texts come from as well. I know i saw one from the Wizard of Oz.
