Dejan, the taciturn lodge keeper and weapons expert, continues his father’s legacy by running the lodge and its shop. Enthusiastic about 80s and 90s music, he dreams of becoming an action movie star. Encounter 17 different animal species, from the formidable California black bear and elusive Tule elk to the swift North American cougar and stealthy California mule deer.

Guiding you through this challenging terrain is Kam Davis, a stoic and seasoned hunter who deeply respects the animals and the land they inhabit. Kam, a legend at the hunting lodge, serves as your mentor, introducing you to the game world, leading you through tutorial sessions, and managing the shooting range. He frequently assists you via radio and occasionally appears in missions to ensure you're always on the right path.

Meanwhile, the ever-knowledgeable Roundabout Pete runs the lodge and its shop, where you'll stock up on essentials. Known for his vast knowledge of firearms and his penchant for storytelling and humor, Pete will also be your mission giver at crucial points in the game. With their guidance, prepare for a hunting expedition that blends the thrill of the chase with the majestic and untamed wilderness of California.

Pick from ten rifles (semi, bolt, or lever), four shotguns, two revolvers, two bows, and two crossbows. Each weapon offers multiple customization options, including a wide range of caliber choices for firearms.

Think your weapon isn't powerful enough? Check if you can swap the caliber and barrel. Tailor your weapons to your exact preferences and ensure you're always prepared for the hunt!

Adapt your strategy with 14 different callers, including the Antelope Call, Boar Squealer, Deer Grunt, and Turkey Box Caller, ensuring you're ready for any situation. Enhance your approach with ten specialized urine sprays, such as Urine Spray - Warthog, Urine Spray - African Buffalo, and Urine Spray - Black Bear, to attract your target species more effectively.

Additionally, utilize three types of bait: sweet corn, grain mixed with apples, and blood with flesh to lure various game. Equip yourself with three models of binoculars—FullSight 8x42, Watchfield 8x56, and Horizon 18x56—along with the Stalker 20-60x60 Spotting Scope and the EZ-Distance Rangefinder for optimal spotting and ranging capabilities.

For precision shooting, choose from two collimators and seven rifle scopes, ranging from the Pureview 4x30 to the Falcon Eye 6-24x50. Not to mention crossbow scopes and bow sights!

Select from 26 different calibers of ammunition, from .17HMR to 700 Nitro Express, nine different shotgun calibers, and 11 various arrowhead weights, including multiple types of arrowheads and arrows. To select a proper specimen, you can use bait to attract animals, allowing you to make careful observations and choose the best trophy. However, when you get closer, ensure you are fully aware of your surroundings. Imagine the surprise of encountering a giant black bear enjoying the corn and apples instead of the expected deer—it certainly won't be thrilled about the encounter…

Blend in with your surroundings, mask your scent, and reduce noise. The success of a hunt often hinges on details such as your outfit, which should be suited to the weather conditions and environment. In Ultimate Hunting™, you'll have various clothing options that affect how animals detect you. Avoiding detection requires you to hide from an animal’s sight, smell, and hearing. Use natural barriers like terrain, rocks, trees, tall grass, and bushes to limit visibility, and ensure your camouflage matches the surroundings. Pay attention to wind direction, your movement, and the noise of your weapons. In quiet environments, animal hearing is more acute, while noisy surroundings can dull their senses. Thoughtful camouflage and strategic movement are key to a successful hunt.

Players will face predators that stalk and attack if caution is not exercised. Large predators can track players, making awareness, proper camouflage, and scent eliminators crucial. Avoiding tall grass, where ambushes are common, is essential. Additionally, medium and big game animals like buffalo and elephants can charge and injure or kill the player if they feel threatened.

There are three types of need zones: feeding, watering, and resting. These zones are dynamically created each time the game is launched. The system generates vegetation and assigns zones for animals to feed and rest based on predefined vegetation types. This dynamic approach ensures that players must explore and adapt, as favorite hunting spots will change over time, encouraging a realistic and varied hunting experience.
